Deep within the settlement, several figures wrapped in animal hides gathered around a sheepskin map, their expressions caught between joy and worry, brows tightly furrowed.

Isaac leaned in for a look and immediately understood why they looked that way.

It was clearly a map leading to the nearest new city—likely Mad Roar City. Its name alone made it obvious: this was a magical metropolis built by legendary witches.

Compared to Arcane Masters, who relied almost entirely on systems of knowledge, legendary witches, who still mainly followed mystical systems, became vastly different after the fourth tier.

For example, magic that raised a massive city from the ground in a short time. Cities created through Arcane Master magic would be extraordinarily orderly, carrying a beauty born of knowledge, while cities built by legendary witches would brim with an aura of mystery and magic!

Especially the latter!

You could often see unidentified creatures running around inside—chairs, tables, and the like...

In more extreme cases, such as Mad Roar City, non-supernatural beings who lived there for long periods had a high chance of becoming mentally ill...

In short, it was exceedingly bizarre.

Even so, for the humans of the Wilderness Dungeon, it was an exceptionally rare haven of peace. That was the source of their joy. As for their worry...

It was not because of Mad Roar City's side effects. Compared to survival, a few mental issues meant nothing. What truly concerned them was the distance!

Mad Roar City was over a thousand kilometers away!

It was a despair-inducing number!

The sheepskin parchment had been sent from Mad Roar City, so it bore a simple spell. Even an illiterate human would understand its meaning and the concepts of its related units after staring at it for more than three seconds.

So while they did not know how far a thousand kilometers was, they knew that it would take at least thirty days and nights for one person to travel on foot!

And if all hundred-plus of them went together, it would take even longer!

More likely, they would all die on the way!

They would never reach that land of hope!

News of a land of hope had brought not hope, but despair...

Isaac circled the increasingly despairing group twice. Yet they were gradually making some sort of decision. Under the concealment of his spell, a purple-black Demonic Claw silently emerged from the back of Isaac's head and made a circle above their heads. As Isaac extended his right hand, its sharp claws retracted and lightly tapped his fingertips.

In an instant, Isaac roughly understood their hearts. Their character was fairly noble; they were qualified to fuse with a Virtual Divine Spark. At least, there was no problem for now. As for whether problems would arise in the future...

That was not something Isaac needed to consider. Such matters could only be resolved by humanity itself.

With that thought, Isaac dispelled the spell concealing his form and appeared before them. Smiling, he greeted them. "Yo~ You folks interested in moving somewhere better to develop?"

"Who?!"

Isaac's sudden appearance gave them all a fright. They stared in horror at the black-robed young man who had appeared out of nowhere. Though they were only ordinary people, they nonetheless grabbed the stone spears beside them and pointed them at Isaac with wary expressions.

They did not lower their guard just because Isaac was human. Their enemies were not only the dungeon's monsters; the cults were enemies of humanity as well, and those cultists were monsters wearing human skin!

Not to mention that the supernatural world possessed quite a few vile spells capable of changing one's appearance!

Isaac was not angered by their vigilance. Instead, he applauded approvingly. "Not bad. You may be weak, but your courage is commendable. I appreciate you even more now. Don't worry, I'm a genuine human, just like the builder of Mad Roar City. I came from outside."

Seeing that they still had not relaxed, Isaac tilted his head slightly, paused, and said, "I appreciate your courage, but I hope to see your wisdom as well. If I wanted to kill you, it would take no effort at all."

As he spoke, Isaac casually pointed. A faint ray shot out, and before their horrified eyes, the stone half as tall as a man—the one they had just gathered around to discuss—instantly turned into powder!

They looked at the pile of powder on the ground, then at the fist-sized stones at the tips of their spears, exchanging glances. In the end, a young man draped in tiger skin, seemingly their leader, was the first to lower his weapon. He then had the others put down their stone spears as well.

Isaac had already proven that he was supernatural. Though they still did not know whether he truly was a savior from the outside, one thing was certain—Isaac could kill them without the slightest effort!

After lowering his weapon, the tiger-pelted young man pondered for a moment. Then he respectfully bowed to Isaac and said, "Honorable Savior, please forgive our earlier offense. Could you explain in detail what you mean by moving somewhere else to develop?"

"You've finally calmed down. Not bad. I'm getting more and more optimistic about you." Isaac smiled. Stones rose from the ground and formed a chair, allowing Isaac to sit. "But there's one thing I need to correct. I'm no savior. I just want to research something. You help me complete my research, and I give you power. A... rather fair trade."

After saying that, even Isaac could not help laughing. "Feel honored, children. You get to make a relatively fair trade with me."

The tiger-pelted young man had no idea what the words "fair trade" meant coming from an Ancient Mad Witch. He only knew that the person standing before them was, in all likelihood, a genuine savior!

Because Isaac's words were recorded both in the information conveyed by that magical sheepskin map and in the inexplicably inherited knowledge passed down among humanity!

Yet the tiger-pelted young man did not wish to dwell too much on definitions. He looked at Isaac expectantly, his hands unconsciously tightening around his stone spear before loosening, then tightening again. His voice trembled slightly as he asked, "What... power?"

"This." Isaac spread open his right hand. Bright fire bloomed, and a knight's longsword wreathed in golden flames appeared in his grasp. "I call this a Virtual Divine Spark. With it, you can possess the power of a god! At the same time, you can bestow this power upon your companions."

Upon hearing that, the tiger-pelted young man could not help taking several excited steps forward. Bathed in radiance filled with [Light] [Justice] [Warmth], he involuntarily reached out—but immediately pulled his hand back, restraining the longing in his heart.

"Not bad. You can still restrain yourself before this power. But there's something I need to make clear in advance. Once you accept this power, you will no longer be human. And this power will burn away your lifespan. Can you still accept it?"
