When Kraft called out the name "Sherry" in a hoarse voice, the little auburn-haired girl reacted just like Alice watching a horror movie. Her face went deathly pale, sweat visibly poured from her forehead, and her bloodless lips began trembling uncontrollably.

Kraft felt a little awkward. He hadn't expected a mere name to frighten a little girl who looked about the same age as Angela and Arale so badly.
He reached up to scratch his hair, put on the friendliest smile he could manage, and prepared to apologize to the little girl in front of him.
But before he could speak, the girl who apparently went by Sherry stepped forward of her own accord and tilted her head up to look at him, a trace of resolve in her eyes.
"I can go with you, but Professor Agasa only took me in. He doesn't know anything about the Organization. Please let him go."

This little girl named Sherry had probably escaped from some organization and been taken in by Professor Agasa. Sherry was presumably a codename she'd used there, which explained why hearing it had left her quaking like a frightened little quail.
