Angron and Horus's first meeting was filled with gunpowder.
When Angron said, "Are you going to duel me?", Horus charged forward without hesitation.
"Good."
Having fought for years in gladiatorial arenas, combat was already Angron's instinct.
When Horus charged, he showed no fear, but instead an excited and eager expression.
Both were perfect creations of the Emperor, blending the dual traits of reality and the Warp.
They possessed incredible power.
They didn't use weapons, only fighting with fists and feet.
Their powerful bodies made every punch they threw terrifying, possessing a savage destructive force.
Angron's cheek was struck by a punch, the immense force sending him flying and crashing heavily to the ground.
"Looks like you're a bit weak."
Horus smiled as he looked at his fallen brother.
He desperately wished his father could see this.
Then, his father would surely think he was the strongest.
Angron spat out a mouthful of blood, got up from the ground, and twisted his neck a few times.
"It's too early to say that."
He became excited.
Horus's terrifying combat power made him realize this would be a thrilling duel.
"Even if you get up, you'll just be knocked down by me again."
Horus strode forward and attacked again.
Whoosh!
His fist was powerful, cutting through the air with a sharp sound.
Angron sidestepped, dodging Horus's punch.
Then he reached out, grabbed Horus's elbow, and pulled him forward, making him lose his balance.
"This move is ancient. I learned it from a fallen gladiator. I hope you like it."
Angron seized the opportunity of Horus losing his balance.
He raised his right foot and kicked Horus in the abdomen with lightning speed.
Sending him flying.
Angron charged at the fallen Horus, leaped up, and smashed down with his massive fist.
"I have never tasted defeat in the arena. No matter the opponent, I will win. You are strong, but I will still be the one to win."
Horus rolled, dodging Angron's attack.
He got up, crouched low, and charged at Angron, knocking him away.
"Then you will learn the taste of defeat today."
The two grappled, their fists landing with solid impact.
They used every trick, fighting to a draw.
Neither could overcome the other.
"Enough."
A majestic voice rang out, interrupting their duel.
The Emperor, bathed in radiance, walked out from a corridor.
Waldo followed behind him, along with a squad of Adeptus Custodes clad in golden armor.
Their powerful psychic energy forcibly separated the defiant pair.
After being separated, Angron and Horus still stared at each other.
Their eyes held defiance and a restless desire to fight.
If they had the chance, they would surely fight again.
"You are brothers," the Emperor said. "You should be united and dedicate yourselves to the great cause of humanity."
The Emperor walked between them.
"Horus, this is Angron, your brother, Lord of Nukeria, a king of the arena who has never known defeat."
The Emperor pointed to Angron, introducing him to Horus.
Then he pointed to Horus and said to Angron, "Angron, this is Horus, Lord of Kossonia."
"You were both woven from the same gene-line, created to save humanity."
Horus extended a hand, appearing sincere.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Angron. We will be great brothers."
Angron smiled, extending his hand as well, and they clasped them tightly.
It seemed the two had put aside past grievances and acknowledged each other as brothers.
However, the struggle during their handshake made it clear to everyone that neither was willing to back down.
"A little healthy competition is a good thing."
A hoarse voice sounded.
At this moment, Horus and Angron noticed a raven perched on the Emperor's shoulder.
Confusion arose in both their hearts simultaneously.
They hadn't seen the raven just moments before.
How did it suddenly appear?
"It's great to meet you, Luminous Head and Axe King. Let's go grab some fries and ketchup."
The raven greeted the two Primarchs.
After Angron's fate was altered, a third light sphere appeared in the Misty Space.
The fate nodes of the Warhammer universe had changed by over 30%.
The protective measures that previously allowed only the chosen to see the raven had also been lifted.
The Misty Space had implemented such measures to protect the weak chosen individuals.
It was to prevent their identities as traversers of the Heavens from being leaked and them being captured and dissected by major powers.
For someone like the Emperor, these protective measures were somewhat redundant.
Even if he shouted to everyone that he was a traverser, what could anyone do to him?
Once the conditions for removal were met, the raven lifted the protective measures.
However, its inherent forgetfulness remained.
For those not recognized, they could only remember everything related to him when looking at him.
Once their gaze shifted, they would subconsciously forget.
"Who is this?"
Horus's eyes widened. He had met the Emperor many times, but this was his first time seeing the raven.
The Emperor said, "This is Mr. Raven. He is another leader of the Imperium. If I am absent, his words represent my will."
The raven spread its wings, "Hurry up, children. Call me Second Father."
The Emperor: "."
Malcador: "."
Horus and Angron's eyes widened.
How did they suddenly get another father?
"Just to liven things up. You guys continue your chat."
Seeing the Emperor's darkened expression, the raven felt a sense of foreboding.
It quickly flapped its wings and flew to Malcador's shoulder.
As the raven disappeared from sight, Horus and Angron subconsciously forgot everything about him.
"I told Horus these words before, and now I need to repeat them to you."
The Emperor looked at Angron. "In the original plan, your mission was to lead the Twelfth Legion and conquer the galaxy."
"But shortly after your birth, you were stolen by a great enemy and thrown onto Nukeria."
"I bear some responsibility for your loss in the galaxy, but it was never my intention."
"It is still unclear what the great enemy left on you. It would be extremely irresponsible to the Imperium and humanity to have you lead the Twelfth Legion according to the original plan."
"You can choose to temper yourself within the expeditionary fleet until you prove yourself worthy of commanding the Twelfth Legion."
"Or you can renounce the mission I bestowed upon you. Given the immense power you possess, you will still be placed under the Imperium's surveillance until the Great Crusade ends and the Human Empire is fully consolidated, at which point you will gain true freedom."
Horus looked at Angron, a hint of expectation in his eyes.
This mission is too heavy, Angron, just give it up.
Go back to Nukeria and reunite with your brothers and sisters.
Let me bear this mission alone.
And enjoy all of Father's love alone.
Angron fell silent for a moment, recalling the unbearable past on Nukeria.
On his way here, he had learned that many worlds in the galaxy still had humans suffering.
Every time he thought of this, his heart was filled with immense pain and anger.
He desperately wanted to do something to change the current situation.
"Why do we fight?" Angron asked the question that concerned him most.
"Of course, for delicious fries and ketchup," the Raven chimed in. "How can a world that cannot even enjoy delicious fries and ketchup be called a happy world?"
The Emperor smiled and said, "For humanity's destiny to rule the galaxy, to restore the glory of mankind, and for everyone to enjoy delicious fries and ketchup."
Waldo, standing nearby, twitched the corner of his mouth.
The thing he feared most had happened.
The Emperor had fallen under the Raven's devilish whispers.
How much longer until the Imperium's armies were shouting, "For delicious fries and ketchup"?
Angron nodded, making a decision that disappointed Horus.
"I am willing to undergo trials until I earn Father's approval."
After the meeting, Angron was assigned to study with Horus.
As soon as the Emperor left, the two primarchs, unwilling to concede, agreed to meet at the dueling grounds to continue their earlier duel.
The warriors of the Twelfth Legion, upon learning of their primarch's return, swarmed to him.
The Sixteenth Legion, not to be outdone, also went to the dueling grounds to cheer for their primarch.
Without suspense, the duel that should have belonged to the two primarchs ultimately escalated into a massive brawl between the two legions.
"For Angron, for the Emperor."
Kharn, a newly recruited soldier, punched Abaddon in the face and then pinned him to the ground.
"For Horus, for the Emperor."
Abaddon, who had turned the tables, grabbed Kharn's head and slammed it against the walls of the dueling grounds with resounding thuds.
The large-scale brawl came to an end with the intervention of the Adeptus Custodes and the enforcers.
The legion members who participated in the brawl were all punished and sent to the brig for contemplation.
However, no one regretted it; instead, they boasted about it as a feat of valor to their comrades.
The other legions, far from gloating, felt a pang of jealousy.
Their desire for their primarchs' return became stronger than ever before.
This was especially true for the First Legion.
They were the first legion created, yet their primarch was not the first to return.
The Emperor, upon learning of the brawl between the two legions, did not pay much attention.
This was because, at this time, his attention had been captured by something more important.
Malcador had delivered a quantum-sensitive array communication tower, modified by the Adeptus Mechanicus of Mars.
Interstellar communication that did not rely on the Warp had become a reality.
