Background / History

Naruto was appointed acting Hokage at seven years old after a Jonin Meeting, supported by Shikaku Nara, Kakashi Hatake, and Hiashi Hyuga as Hokage’s aides. He treated the position seriously, exhausting himself while studying Konoha’s affairs and working through its administration. The Land of Fire’s nobles initially resisted accepting such a young Hokage. 42

As Hokage, Naruto became preoccupied with the high casualty rates among genin and chunin from commoner backgrounds. After learning that clan-born genin had at least triple the survival rate of commoner genin, he reaffirmed his desire to prevent children from losing their parents and growing up as orphans. 43

Daren Yi later disclosed that Naruto’s chakra shares traits with Hashirama Senju’s, including exceptionally vast reserves, and suggested a Senju connection. Naruto also learned hidden details concerning Minato Namikaze and his inheritance. 50
