Background / History

Sasuke initially finds hope in the public revelations surrounding the Uchiha Clan’s destruction, which reignite his wish for justice and vengeance 8. After awakening and meeting Daren Yi, he is disheartened to learn that the surviving Uchiha have already unlocked Mangekyo Sharingan, leaving him feeling far behind 17.

Daren Yi becomes a major influence on Sasuke’s development. Sasuke observes Daren’s battle tactics against Root and Danzō, treating them as an example of the Uchiha Clan’s proper combat style 37. He later resolves to avenge the clan and become a better clan head than Fugaku 39.

During Kakashi’s bell exercise, Sasuke realizes the purpose behind Kakashi’s deceptive teaching method and reflects on the Uchiha’s nindō 78. At the Chunin Exam, he grows bolder, arrives with Suigetsu as his subordinate, and openly provokes the Kage 115.
