Background

Chu Ke was a product designer in his previous life who died from overwork while revising a client draft. He awoke as an eighteen-year-old in 2009 with no money, inherited a small stationery store, and named his newly awakened ability the Fundamental Forces 1.

After identifying the world as Dragon Raja, Chu Ke used the shop as a base to alter the story around Lu Mingfei. His earliest intervention was the creation and sale of a gemstone necklace intended to serve as Lu Mingfei’s new “cheat” 3. He later removed the malicious “Malice of the Higher Narrator” tag from Lu Mingfei, acquired his Yanling data, and began distributing abilities through the Multiverse Chat Group 4.

Although his principal body holds nearly all Fundamental Forces, Chu Ke deliberately preserves it as an ordinary human body rather than loading it with every available template. He regards it as his first body after transmigration and values its relative “purity” 24. Later bodies and avatars can operate independently across worlds while sharing consciousness with the main body in real time 56.

When Chu Ke acquired the Fundamental Forces, alternate versions of himself across connected parallel universes converged into him. Depending on a world’s laws, local Chu Kes were erased, became subordinate equivalents, or died and returned to his origin 342. By the end of the book, the final alternate incarnation’s research into the Second Tree of Power is recovered by the main body, ending the existence of separate alternate Chu Kes 420.

Chu Ke usually appears as a handsome young man with long, slightly curly black hair and a perpetually smiling expression. His everyday presentation is deliberately unassuming despite his strength 56 77.

Personality

Chu Ke seeks novelty, entertainment, and the feeling of participating in a story rather than merely overpowering it. Even after becoming overwhelmingly strong, he chooses to pursue food, games, experimentation, and new worlds instead of seeking a conventional grand purpose 10 35.

He is playful, irreverent, and prone to turning serious events into games or experiments. This includes deliberately designing humiliating transformations, strange cultivation methods, cursed props, and dangerous “rewards” for others 17 39 348. His humor often masks an extreme willingness to manipulate circumstances for his own amusement.

Chu Ke is also intensely self-centered. He may save, empower, or reshape worlds for people he considers friends, yet disregard other lives when he finds their fate uninteresting or inconvenient 138. In Black Mountain Village, he treats the villagers’ lives as expendable and uses Bai Xiao Xiao’s grief to secure her service 66 68.

Despite this, he is capable of genuine consideration. He protects disciples with talismans, trains companions who want to grow stronger, respects Ma Chao’s sincerity as a teacher, and becomes attached to worlds and people he has visited 57 62 116. He deliberately restrains the Fundamental Forces at times because fully activating them would make experience, discovery, and personal growth meaningless 59.

He later expands the setting’s supernatural ecosystem through Kamen Rider technology, Magic Armor, and carefully engineered demonization events 101 162.

Cyberpunk Arc

In Night City, Chu Ke recruits David Martinez and trains David and V through accelerated-time cultivation. He develops a cross-world martial arts foundation system, combining internal force, body training, and cyberpunk concepts 27 28 29.

Hero World Arc

Summoned as a supposed Hero but identified as the Demon King, Chu Ke receives a point-allocation system that breaks the world’s intended power balance 35 36. He draws the Holy Sword ahead of the intended hero, reaches Divine Power, defeats the Holy and Time-Space Goddesses, and decides to bring the world under his jurisdiction 50 53.

Sun and Moon Misalignment Arc

Chu Ke enters the Law Seeker world with only the Fundamental Forces’ computational capacity retained as an “external supercomputing brain.” He studies pill refinement, Law Bodies, Divine Powers, and magical treasures while becoming a legendary figure to the Three Truths Method 56 59 69. His destruction of Black Mountain Village establishes the darker extent of his utilitarian morality 66 68.

Azure Cloud Sect Arc

After converging with an alternate self who died in pill-refinement seclusion, Chu Ke becomes Azure Cloud Sect Master and supports Xiao Yan’s sect 342. He industrializes cultivation through plantations, spiritual-energy reactors, mass Foundation Establishment, and tribulation power systems, transforming the sect into a technologically advanced power 349 350 360.

Dragon Tiger Mountain Arc

As a disciple of Dragon Tiger Mountain, Chu Ke seeks to collect and optimize every available Qi technique in pursuit of the Second Tree of Power 262. He uses the Great Luo Heavenly Offering to observe competitors’ arts, then publicly challenges the sect’s authority and defeats Zhang Zhiwei in a battle that devastates Dragon Tiger Mountain 268 271 272.

World Stewardship

Through the Office, Chu Ke collects, monitors, and protects worlds he has visited, including worlds derived from Harry Potter, Marvel, JoJo, Konosuba, and cultivation settings 116 421. Though he eventually feels isolated by his immense lifespan and power, the Multiverse Chat Group remains a source of companionship and pulls him back toward new adventures 421.
