Nangong first appears among Chu Qing’s associates at the Stone Rock County Martial Academy. Chu Qing identifies her as exceptionally beautiful and asks her to assist his Observing Beauties Like White Bones cultivation. Though initially suspicious of his motives, she discovers that practicing the Heavenly Demon Strategy on or alongside him greatly improves her own cultivation efficiency. Their mutually beneficial training enables her to perfect the first volume of the Heavenly Demon Strategy and reach Golden Sinew Great Perfection. 117 119

After relocating to the State City, Nangong joins the Thousand Eyes Alliance. The alliance implants thirteen vertical eyes upon her back, granting her eligibility for its dangerous high-level competition and access to resources intended to support advancement into the Third Limit. 192

She becomes one of Chu Qing’s most dependable allies.
