Steal Flesh. The name alone sounded incredibly shady.
It didn't sound like any kind of legitimate ability.
He reread the description. It allowed him to possess the bodies of the dead.
That point... seemed pretty useless.
And the possession wasn't permanent. It would accelerate the corpse's decay.
In other words, the body would rot before long and couldn't be used indefinitely.
He truly couldn't think of any practical use for it.
He would see when the time came.
It might come in handy somewhere.
Before long, Beni flew back as well.
"The battle is over."
Wu Heng looked up at the battlefield. Most of the Zombies had been killed, while the Skeleton Army was handling the aftermath.
"Clean up the battlefield," Wu Heng ordered.
The skeletons began clearing the battlefield.
Wu Heng put away the Corpse Cores, then released Battlefield of the Undead as he traveled along the road, transforming every corpse into a skeleton.
Once the entire battlefield had been cleared up,
Wu Heng summoned the convoy over and returned to the base after getting into a carriage.
When they returned to Treasure Island,
breakfast was just being served at the Island Master's Manor.
Wu Heng washed up briefly and took a seat at the table.
Minnie said, "Master, Deacon Shiraque came by yesterday. It seemed someone died on the island, and she wanted the Skeleton Prophet to help investigate the murderer."
Someone had died on the island again?
"Do you know who the victim was?" Wu Heng asked.
"I heard her speaking with the Skeleton Prophet. It sounded like he was some kind of Association Member, but I didn't catch it clearly." Minnie added, "The Deacon also said that if you came back, I should let her know. She needs to see you."
"Alright." Wu Heng nodded.
