Arc 13Kirigakure Strike and Konoha Politics

Chiyue and Minato devastated Kirigakure, while the attack and a supply scandal intensified Konoha’s leadership tensions. After Chiyue helped Kakashi improve his sword training, he returned to the front, where Orochimaru assigned him to stop enemies in the Land of Bears with Uchiha Fugaku’s clan in support.

  • Chiyue infiltrated Kirigakure, summoned Minato, and destroyed the Mizukage’s office and much of the village before they escaped.
  • Jiraiya and Chiyue debated Konoha’s leadership, while Chiyue warned that Orochimaru and Danzo were cooperating and that Hatake Sakumo was being pushed aside.

Arc 14The Land of Bears and War

Chiyue and the Uchiha defended the Land of Bears, defeating Kirigakure forces and the Kaguya Clan while Danzo’s schemes drove Hatake Sakumo toward retirement. As Kirigakure launched a massive assault on Konoha’s coast, the story left the defenders facing enormous waves.

  • Chiyue led the Uchiha against Hozuki Jiro’s force in the Land of Bears, captured Jiro, and learned that Uchiha Fugaku’s Mangekyo could show him glimpses of the future.

Arc 15The Sunagakure Front

After Kirigakure’s tailed beasts devastated Konoha’s coastal forces, Chiyue returned to the village and led an army against Sunagakure. The arc ended with Chiyue confronting Pakura near the border as Sunagakure prepared for war.

  • Orochimaru’s forces were overwhelmed when the Three-Tails and Six-Tails broke free, but Chiyue drove off the Three-Tails while Konoha retreated and regrouped.

Arc 16The Kazekage’s Fall

Chiyue captured Pakura, used her markers to lure the Third Kazekage into a duel, and killed him with Scorpion’s help. As Sunagakure searched for its missing leader, Kushina left Konoha and arrived at Chiyue’s camp.

  • Chiyue captured Pakura and brought her to the Konoha camp, where Shikaku Nara spread rumors that Sunagakure had branded her a traitor.
  • Chiyue left camp with Pakura, used her escape marks to draw out Sunagakure shinobi, and offered Scorpion the Third Kazekage’s corpse in exchange for his help.
  • The Third Kazekage followed Pakura’s marks to Chiyue’s cave, where Chiyue and Scorpion faced him and Chiyue killed him with Susanoo’s lance.
