Power Progression

Background / History

Great God Pangu created heaven and earth, and his body became the Primordial World. Pangu's transformations produced forms including Nüwa and Houtu, while his Primordial Spirit divided into the Three Pure Ones. The Human Race later rose after the fall of the Witch and Demon races. 1

Following the Investiture of the Gods calamity and the fallout of the Three Pure Ones, the world declined into the Earthly Immortal Realm, divided into four continents. The Heavenly Court and Western Buddhist Sect became the dominant powers, while the Journey to the West calamity was expected to cement the West's prosperity. 1

Taiqing Laozi bound the Great Primordial World and began increasing its fortune through preaching, cultivation methods, the Human Race's rise, and the establishment of the Human Dao. The world recovered beyond its former Witch–Demon Era scale, then advanced into the Five Tai hierarchy. 2 5 25 36

The world became a battlefield in the conflict between Taiqing's Three Teachings, Hongjun's Heavenly Dao faction, and the Primordial Chaos forces. It survived repeated attempts at corruption, devouring, and outright destruction by the Primordial Chaos Dao Venerable and the Five Primordial Chaos Ancestors. 195 206 207

Taiqing ultimately integrated Primordial Chaos into the world through the Supreme Grand Void Primal Chaos Formation. The Primordial Chaos Divine Realm was also swallowed and incorporated into the Primordial World. 214

Later expansion relied increasingly on assimilating other worlds. The God Tomb World merged in less than three days, the Marvel World completed a prolonged fusion, and the Eternal Life World added further territory and resources. 226 247 273

During the Immeasurable Tribulation, the Primordial World neared its end amid warfare between its internal factions and outside forces. Wuji captured and later killed the Primordial World Heavenly Dao, then created the Universal Great World as a refuge for the survivors. 349 350

• Great Dao Laws — The world's Three Thousand Great Daos manifest as rivers, star seas, divine chains, and raining Law fragments, giving its inhabitants opportunities for enlightenment and breakthroughs. 95 118 210
• Resource generation — Each major upgrade produces spiritual roots, treasures, blessed lands, new life, and increasingly refined spiritual energy. Postnatal roots can evolve into Innate and eventually Chaos Spiritual Roots. 156 210
• Spatial stability — As the world grows, its structure becomes difficult even for peak Sages to damage. Spatial transfers that once crossed millions of li instantly become slow or impossible. 188
• Chaos assimilation — Its expanding heavenly membrane consumes Chaos continuously; by one stage of its evolution, less than twenty percent of the surrounding Chaos remained. 167 188
• Spiritual Energy Crystals — Condensed from dense Chaos Spiritual Energy, these crystals alter ecosystems, awaken bloodlines, and accelerate evolution in creatures that consume them. 198

• Taiqing Laozi — Bound cultivator and principal benefactor; he increases its fortune, receives upgrade rewards, merges external worlds into it, and gains the authority “I Am the Primordial World.” 2 168 226
