Background / History

Heaven's Mystery Pavilion is a vast, hidden institution under Changkong Daoren. Changkong, the first being born from Hongmeng and an old friend of Pangu, began guarding the Primordial World after Pangu's death. The Pavilion later inherited the task of protecting the Human Clan and helping defend the world against outside threats. 460 542

The Pavilion was publicly identified as the first-ranked treasure on the Treasure Ranking. Although the Hongmeng Purple Gold List could determine that it was a Void-level treasure and name Changkong as its master, it could not identify the Pavilion's precise function. 40

Sanqi later announced a limited opportunity for selected beings to enter the Pavilion and observe the formation of the Primordial World. Xuanming, Chang'e, the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman, Nuwa, and Houtu were selected; Sanqi guided them through a vortex into the Pavilion's hidden valley. 172 186 187

Its guests experienced extraordinary improvement under its guidance. Chang'e advanced from a Golden Immortal background to the peak Quasi-Sage level within a few hundred years, while Xuanming, Houtu, and the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman also rose sharply in the rankings after receiving Yao Yao's instruction. 249 258 259 706 731

As Chaotic Beasts increasingly intruded upon the Primordial World, the Pavilion's deeper purpose became known: it had used the Hongmeng Purple Gold List and its rewards to identify elite beings, distribute resources, and cultivate a force capable of resisting the coming calamity. 542 967 1014

The Pavilion is concealed within a mysterious valley whose location cannot be perceived from outside. When revealed, it appears as an immense celestial palace complex: a towering main pavilion surrounded by mountains, clouds, palaces, terraces, and pavilions amid extraordinarily dense spiritual energy. 187 198 210
