Background

Wanda was born in Sokovia and became a war orphan after a Stark Industries missile killed her parents. When a second missile threatened her and Pietro, her latent Chaos Magic altered reality: it prevented the missile from detonating and may have granted Pietro his extraordinary speed. This trauma left her deeply hostile toward America and Stark Industries. 17 113 217

She worked at a convenience store and had been dating Li Chuan for three years when they married in Sokovia. Li Chuan’s commitment to her completed his mission to contact the Scarlet Witch at its highest level.
