Velin hosted the wedding of Orlando and Dolores, and Hebrew and Abrien, while Priest Lavia asked for help extending Kelt Tulem’s life by repairing his soul. The two couples married, and Velin stayed to help Xuemiyya manage the wedding celebrations.

• Priest Lavia told Velin that his disciple Kechia was the son of Kelt Tulem and Elinor Tulem, and that Kelt had only ten years left to live.
• Velin offered to repair Kelt’s soul for one Gold Coin and a future priestly genius, and agreed to visit Lavia in Blue Gauze County.

Velin traveled through Blue Gauze County and learned how Cleveland Village honored a fallen soldier while supporting its people and training future soldiers. He then reached the Priest Academy, where Priest Lavia showed him its expanded grounds and the apprentices tending crops.

• Velin visited Chavellan Village, where Elder Sari shared the village chronicles and the story of his son Chavellan, killed in the Battle of Black Forest Fortress.

• The Duke of Moravia sent Velin into the Reflection World, where Velin and his Life Knight and Death Knight battled a powerful phantom.
• Three days later, Velin traveled with the Duke of Moravia, Tadius, and two others to Larik City, then teleported to the royal capital of the Reketts Duke Kingdom.

Duke Moravia fought the Dark Shadow in an unknown Interlayer Space with the help of the three soul spirits Void, Empty, and Trace. After they extracted the Black Domain Law and returned to the main world, Tadius destroyed the Dark Shadow’s last trace of will.

• Duke Moravia drew the Dark Shadow into an unknown Interlayer Space, where he revealed his young appearance and summoned Void, Empty, and Trace.
• The three soul spirits battled the Dark Shadow while Duke Moravia concealed himself, and their clash shattered the continent and killed tens of millions of Lost People.
• The World Consciousness and a god’s support helped the four wear down the Dark Shadow, trap it in a spatial cage, and extract the Black Domain Law.
• Duke Moravia returned to the main world with the spatial cage, and Tadius struck the Dark Shadow with three Annihilation Flames.
• The world’s power shattered the Dark Shadow and the spatial cage.

After Dark Shadow’s death, Velin learned how the World Disk measured progress toward Legendary ranks, while Tadius agreed to protect Qixing Territory after consolidating his foundation. Velin traveled to Huofeng Territory, where he found that his Fourth Brother, Risis, had already led an army south.

• The World Disk appeared and showed Velin its markings; Duke of Moravia explained how merit, boundaries, and demon kills determined Legendary advancement.
• Tadius said he could become Legendary at any time and agreed to spend thirty years protecting Qixing Territory after three years of preparation.
• Velin asked when the purge would end, and Duke of Moravia estimated it would take one to three years.
• Duke of Moravia took everyone toward the southern border, then Velin parted from him and traveled with Xuemiyya and Kyle toward Huofeng Territory.
• Risis marched south with eight hundred knights and three thousand warriors, leaving Afah to guard Huofeng Castle.

Velin uncovered a false warning meant to draw Huofeng Territory’s elite forces away, then Kyle captured five Dark Elves approaching Huofeng Fortress. Kyle began searching one of their souls to learn what they wanted and what item they sought.

• Afah told Velin that brigands were heading toward Baihuo Town after a messenger warned of their attack.
• Kyle used Charm Humans on the messenger, who admitted an unknown person had instructed him to deliver the warning and claim a reward.
• Velin concluded the brigands were bait intended to lure Lord Risis and Huofeng Territory’s elite warriors away from Huofeng Fortress, and he ordered Afah to leave the defenses as they were.
• Five Black Robes emerged underground, discussed retrieving a lost item, and headed north toward Huofeng Fortress.
• Kyle sensed the approaching figures, pulled the five Dark Elves from underground, and brought them to the castle.
• Velin ordered Kyle to search their souls, and Kyle began with one of the female Dark Elves.

Velin learned that the Dark Elves had tried to recover a Blood Curse Gold Coin that Risis had unknowingly brought to Huofeng Fortress, and discovered a Teleportation Array to the Gloomy World. After Risis returned, Velin explained the scheme, and Risis recognized that the coin had caused his unease.

• Kyle searched a Dark Elf's soul and told Velin that the group had plotted to retrieve a Blood Curse Gold Coin from Risis.
• Kyle secretly informed Velin about a Teleportation Array to the Gloomy World southwest of Huofeng Territory, and Velin postponed discussing it until he met Fourth Brother.
• Velin met Ariel Ex and Xuemiyya at the castle, then waited in the main hall while Risis was away.
• Risis returned with treasure and captives from the bandit campaign, learned Velin was waiting, and hurried to wash before greeting him.

• Velin's group found the hidden cave, and Kyle broke its warning array before Velin ordered the guards killed.
• Kyle used holy flame to kill the Dark Elves, and the group entered the cave and found the Teleportation Array.
• Xuemiyya translated a diary describing human captives and sacrifices to Lolth, then crushed it after reading its contents.

• Sally told Velin that the Sinclair family controlled the Teleportation Array and described the Dark Elf factions, but she could not confirm whether Legendary Experts existed.
• Xuemiyya revealed that she had broken Sally’s mind through repeated illusions, and Velin’s group used Kyle’s Breath of Concealment to disguise themselves as Dark Elves before entering the Gloomy World.
• Sally ordered the Teleportation Array sealed, then led the disguised group by carriage from the city to her fief in Kexdun Town.

As Novia Sinclair departed for her meeting with a Black Dragon, Kyle followed a Dark Elf assassin who slipped into the palace, intending to use the intruder to his advantage.

• Sally revealed that the Matriarch recorded secret matters and left for about ten days every March, so Velin asked Kyle to steal the records during her absence.
• Xuemiyya ordered Sally to send Dark Elves to the other side of the Teleportation Array and deal with the Dark Elves who had gone missing.

Kyle stole the Dark Elf Matriarch's Spatial Ring and returned its contents to Velin, who learned that two hidden Legends controlled the Gloomy World. Velin left Kexdun Town with Xuemiyya and Kyle and returned to the surface, leaving Sally behind as a possible pawn.

• Kyle erased the soul mark on Novia's Spatial Ring, emptied it into the Messier Demiplane, and returned both rings to the Dark Elf assassin.
• Kyle returned to Kexdun Town and told Velin that Dark Elf infighting had provided a scapegoat who could keep Sally useful.
• Xuemiyya read Kala's Gloomy World Secrets and discovered that a Legendary Black Dragon and a Legendary Evil Soul Eye secretly controlled different regions.

• Byron raised a barrier and projected a message from Oswald, who apologized for the indirect meeting and explained that Saint Gerrard had sent Byron to find Velin.
