Arc 49The Northern Front and Three Trials

Kyle and Velin helped turn the northern war front defensive before joining the King of Wind Fairies’ trials with their companions. Kyle placed well in the first two rounds and entered the final trial’s memory, where he began trying to prevent Shana’s death.

  • Kyle’s forces captured Tase City after the Black Asia Orcs evacuated their legion through a Teleportation Array, and he held the city against a siege until reinforcements arrived.
  • Namos led the Holy Shield Legion against the Shadow Blade Legion, but Albert’s self-detonation left Namos severely wounded and the battle ended without destroying the Orc force.
  • Velin and Kyle helped secure the northern front as the Black Asia Orcs withdrew, then Velin arranged for Selina and Pragorn to manage the Ninth Legion while he left for the Puta Luoyu Realm trial.
  • The King of Wind Fairies gathered Kyle, Velin, and the other trial participants in the Kongming Sky Trench, where Kyle placed third in the Gap Lens round as the Progenitor of the Dark Raven’s faction won.
  • Kyle’s composition “Qixing Knight” briefly led the music round, but Dominia’s “Wind of Nature” won and tied the overall trial between the two factions.
  • Yuxia gave the six trial-takers Memory Crystals, and Kyle entered one as Cyril Barretania, tasked with saving Shana during a war against the Taramus World Cluster.
  • After three years, Kyle reached the Kingdom of Gallus with Shana and ordered a sweep for followers of the God of Holy Light, knowing the Memory Crystal recorded that she would die there two years later.
Chapters 1201–1225 Vol. 13 Read

Ch. 1201Tase City—Feint Attack

Kyle and Zephvia planned for the Fifteenth Legion’s attack on Tase City while Kyle warned that the Black Asia Orcs might conceal a force to ambush reinforcements. Seven days later, Ashborn led the Second Army to the city, and the chapter ended as its cannons prepared to bombard the defenders.

  • Kyle and Zephvia simulated the battle for Tase City, revising the enemy’s Gold-rank forces down to eight hundred.
  • Kyle warned Zephvia that the Black Asia Orcs might hide a force southwest of the city, so Zephvia added a reserve to the simulation.
  • Seven days later, Ashborn led more than seventeen thousand soldiers and two hundred improved Magic Energy Cannons toward Tase City.
  • The defenders on Tase City’s walls feared the approaching human army, while the Black Asia Orc commander brooded over his brother’s death at Polia Main Camp.
  • Bartholomew assessed the weakened Third Legion’s lack of reinforcements as Ashborn ordered the improved Magic Energy Cannons to begin firing.

Ch. 1202Ripper Legion and Shadow Blade Legion

The Twenty-Fifth Legion bombarded Tase City with Magic Energy Cannons, then withdrew and spent the following month feigning attacks while Kyle planned a larger ambush. A hidden Gray Orc force prepared to join the attack but worried Gamongri might betray them and planned to retreat if the situation turned against them.

  • Ashborn’s Magic Energy Cannons battered Tase City’s barrier, killed many defenders, and destroyed part of the city before Ashborn stopped the costly bombardment.
  • Bartholomew ordered Tase City’s troops to remain vigilant as the Human Army withdrew, suspecting the enemy was concealing a plan.
  • Kyle considered how to capture Tase City and planned to draw several Black Asia Orc Elite Forces legions into an ambush.
  • For a month, the Twenty-Fifth Legion sent armies to feign attacks on Tase City, and Bartholomew personally directed the defense each time.
  • A young Gray Orc general learned that the Black Asia Orc Ripper Legion and Shadow Blade Legion would take three more days to reach their positions, suspected Gamongri might betray them, and ordered his troops to withdraw if the ambush went wrong.

Ch. 1203Feigning Defeat

Manus agreed to Bartholomew’s plan to feign defeat and lure the human forces into Tase City, while Kyle led the Twenty-fifth Legion in a probing assault. The chapter left the city’s barrier under sustained bombardment as the battle began.

  • Manus cursed Gamongri’s plan to abandon Tase City and leave the Earth Vein Shield behind, but Bartholomew persuaded him to follow it.
  • Manus assigned Bartholomew to lead the operation and insisted that their feigned retreat must not become a real rout.
  • On December 1st, 9774, Kyle assembled more than fifty-three thousand soldiers and marched the Twenty-fifth Legion toward Tase City.
  • Bartholomew prepared to defend the city before retreating in an orderly fashion, leaving the conscripted tribal warriors behind.
  • Kyle halted the army four kilometers from Tase City and ordered thirteen volleys from the Magic Energy Cannons against its barrier.

Ch. 1204Flatten Tase City

Kyle’s Human Army captured Tase City’s North City Wall, but Manus and Bartholomew secretly evacuated the Black Asia Orc legion while leaving tribal warriors behind as bait. When Kyle learned powerful enemy auras had vanished, he ordered the city flattened with Magic Energy Cannons, and their bombardment devastated Tase City.

  • After Manus deactivated the Earth Vein Shield, Kyle ordered the Human Army to assault Tase City as the barrier crumbled.
  • The Black Asia Orc defenders fought on the North City Wall, while Bartholomew revealed eleven hidden Soul Intent rank experts to battle Kyle’s eight Transcendents.
  • Bowen killed the Black Asia Orc Garrison General and took his head as the city’s defenders withdrew into Tase City.
  • Manus and Bartholomew secretly evacuated the legion warriors through a Teleportation Array, leaving tribal warriors to guard the Earth Vein Shield and serve as bait.
  • When Kyle sensed powerful auras disappear, he ordered Morlet to halt the advance and commanded the Magic Energy Cannon unit to flatten Tase City.
  • Hundreds of purple energy spheres struck Tase City, vaporizing buildings and the tribal warriors hiding inside them.

Ch. 1205Scarlet Magic Shield III

After nine purple-energy bombardments destroyed nearly all of Tase City and eliminated the Black Asia Orc Third Legion, Kyle ordered his forces to occupy the ruins. Morlet then deployed a Scarlet Magic Shield III over the rebuilt city, preparing the army for the enemy’s arrival.

  • Black Asia Orc survivors in a bunker broke down and attacked their comrades, and the remaining warriors killed them before the next bombardment destroyed the bunker.
  • Kyle confirmed the Black Asia Orc Third Legion had been wiped out and ordered Morlet’s army to enter Tase City.
  • Bartlett seized a floating round shield, prompting Morlet and Ashborn to joke about recruiting him into their respective forces.
  • Mage troops filled in the craters and helped rebuild Tase City’s North City Wall.
  • Morlet activated a Scarlet Magic Shield III, which formed a blood-red barrier over the city.

Ch. 1206Loyal Guards

Kyle’s Twenty-fifth Legion waited behind Tase City’s defenses while Black Asia Orc forces surrounded it and allowed some requests for aid to reach the Ninth Legion. After receiving Kyle’s message, Velin tried to spread a false rumor about his anger, but two guards refused to slander him; Velin rewarded their loyalty and turned to planning a trap for the Orc forces and a Legend.

  • Kyle ordered his troops into Tase City and relied on Scarlet Magic Shield III to withstand the siege.
  • More than eighty thousand Black Asia Orcs joined the Northern Army’s Third Legion and surrounded Tase City, while Kyle sent Sky Eagles to request aid.
  • Two Black Asia Orc Soul Intent experts intercepted half the Sky Eagles’ messages but let the rest continue so the Ninth Legion would send reinforcements.
  • A Low-Silver Tier Warrior at Lekaya City recovered the Sky Eagles’ message carriers and delivered them to the Legion Command Department.
  • After reading Kyle’s letter, Velin ordered two guards to spread a false rumor that he was enraged, but they refused to slander him.
  • Velin rewarded the guards with Wind Sweet Fruits, then studied the terrain and planned to destroy the Orc forces and lure a Legend into a trap.

Ch. 1207Intelligence Leak

A Black Asia Orc intelligence squad learned that the human Ninth Legion had suffered a logistical failure and used the report to draw enemy forces into position. At Giant Stone Mountain Fortress, Gamonli and his commanders prepared to destroy the Black Asia Orc troops and besiege the fortress.

  • Leonas confronted the Legion Command Department, and Inquisitor Knights later took away more than ten officers in Lekaya City of War.
  • Isla told her father, Markus, that the human Ninth Legion’s deputy marshal had been reprimanded after poor logistical support left the Twenty-Fifth Legion surrounded, and that an officer had been taken away by Inquisitor Knights.
  • A hidden agent’s report confirmed the intelligence, and Markus sent a coded message through the Shadow World without naming Isla.
  • Thirty thousand troops departed Lekaya City of War for Tase City as Black Asia Orc forces mobilized across the Kamo Tribe Territory.
  • Gamonli and Velin concluded that the Black Asia Orcs had taken the bait, and Selina Krovtsna proposed eliminating their troops before besieging Giant Stone Mountain Fortress.

Ch. 1208Battle of Kamo—Triggering

Kyle received word that reinforcements were coming and kept the Twenty-fifth Legion in Tase City, while the Black Asia Orcs decoded the message and prepared for the wider war. At Elk Town, Namos told General Gran that the Holy Shield Legion would stay out of the reinforcement mission unless a powerful enemy ambush occurred.

  • Kyle read a message saying reinforcements were on their way, then refused Illictra permission to lead the Third Army in breaking through the siege and ordered her to defend Tase City.
  • Kyle secretly ordered a Shadow Assassin to watch Illictra and attached a second mark to the assassin in case Illictra tried to silence him.
  • Eight hours later, Sinisa Basaromu read the decoded message and concluded that the Human Ninth Legion’s move signaled the beginning of a great northern war.
  • At Elk Town, Namos told General Gran that the Holy Shield Legion would not intervene in the reinforcement mission unless the army encountered a powerful ambush.

Ch. 1209Battle of Kamo—Reinforcement Ambush

Ald’s Black Asia Orc Sixth Legion ambushed Gran’s human reinforcements on the road to Tase City, but Namos’s Holy Shield Legion helped turn the battle and force the Orcs to retreat. Gran agreed to delay the march and establish camp, then learned the human army had suffered heavy casualties.

  • Ald learned that Gran’s reinforcements were approaching and sent the Sixth Legion to prepare its ambush.
  • The Black Asia Orcs attacked Gran’s marching column with troops and poisoned spears, but Gran’s precautions kept the humans from collapsing.
  • Namos committed fifteen Soul Intent rank Shield Warriors, helping the human forces turn the battle against the Orcs.
  • Ald ordered a retreat, and the humans began clearing the battlefield and tending to their dead.
  • Gran thanked Namos, then agreed to camp rather than continue toward Tase City before more reinforcements arrived.
  • A High-Silver Warrior reported that 6,326 human soldiers had died, 2,583 were wounded, and the humans had killed 3,583 Black Asia Orcs.

Ch. 1210Battle of Kamo: Shadow Blade Legion Mobilized

After Aride undermined the Sixth Army’s attacks, Gamongri ordered the Shadow Blade Legion to destroy the human reinforcements advancing toward Tase City. The legion assembled and marched north as human commanders prepared to support the Twenty-Fifth Legion trapped in Tase City.

  • Aride rejected Manus’s offer to ally against Gamongri, destroyed the letter, and ordered his guard to deny it had arrived.
  • The Sixth Army attacked the human reinforcements with tribal warriors, losing over six thousand before retreating; Gran concluded the raid was only meant to fulfill orders.
  • Namos told Gran to send word of their arrival to Lekaya City of War and the Fifteenth Legion at Tase City.
  • Gamongri blamed Aride for the Sixth Army’s poor performance and ordered the Shadow Blade Legion to annihilate the human army, keeping the Blood Wing-Magic Energy Mechanical Legion in reserve.
  • The Shadow Blade Legion’s purple-haired commander ordered the legion to assemble and march north.
  • Human reinforcements gathered north of Tase City to plan how to rescue the Twenty-Fifth Legion.

Ch. 1211Battle of Kamo—Legion War (Part 1)

Gran’s reinforcements learned that the Shadow Blade Legion was approaching, and Namos took command to prepare an ambush. The Shadow Blade Legion’s commanders recognized the Holy Shield Legion and warned that their force might need to retreat.

  • Gran’s commanders argued over whether to wait, investigate the enemy, or withdraw until Namos ordered them to quiet down.
  • A scout reported that more than ten thousand Black Asia Orc Shadow Blade Warriors were approaching the camp beneath a mass of shadow.
  • Namos assumed command of the reinforcements after learning that the Shadow Blade Legion had arrived.
  • The First Army of the Twenty-seventh Legion volunteered to act as bait while the Holy Shield Legion prepared to attack.
  • Namos ended the meeting, entered a Demiplane to awaken his resting troops, and resolved to win the battle.
  • Three Shadow Blade Legion commanders discussed the Holy Shield Legion’s arrival, and two urged an immediate retreat to avoid annihilation.

Ch. 1212Battle of Kamo—Legion Battle (Part 2)

Kaserus chose to lead the weakened Shadow Blade Legion against the Dawn Wing Legion despite his deputies’ warnings, hoping to overcome the legion’s fear of the Holy Shield Legion. The battle began without the Holy Shield Legion visibly intervening, and Kaserus ordered the full Shadow Blade Legion to charge.

  • Jiamous and Albert urged Kaserus to retreat, but he insisted on fighting and promised to cover the legion’s retreat if they faced defeat.
  • Kaserus recalled the Shadow Blade Legion’s devastating defeat by the Holy Shield Legion and considered the unverified rumor that Albert was Kehedawa’s descendant.
  • The next morning, Kaserus’s more than 12,000 Dark Blade Warriors faced over 9,000 warriors of the Dawn Wing Legion, while Kaserus spotted only one Holy Shield Legion Shield Warrior among the enemy.
  • The Dawn Wing Legion’s Explosive Arrows failed to penetrate the Shadow Blade Legion’s black shields, and the two armies clashed in battle.
  • After seeing no sign that the Holy Shield Legion had arrived, Kaserus ordered the entire Shadow Blade Legion to attack.

Ch. 1213The Battle of Kamo—Legion War (Part 2)

The Holy Shield Legion ambushed and overwhelmed the Shadow Blade Legion, while Namos fought Kaserus above the battlefield. Albert sacrificed himself to help Jiamous escape with the Legion’s Seeds, leaving Kaserus responsible for the survivors.

  • Namos revealed the silver cubes as decoys that became more than three thousand Shield Warriors, and the Holy Shield Legion attacked the Shadow Blade Legion.
  • Namos and Kaserus began fighting in the sky as the Shield Warriors hunted the Shadow Blade Warriors below.
  • Albert asked Jiamous to rescue the Seeds, then held off the enemy commanders long enough for Jiamous to escape with them.
  • Namos gained the advantage over Kaserus as the Shadow Blade Legion suffered heavy losses.
  • Albert overdrawed his soul, forced back his attackers, and detonated himself near Namos, knocking Namos unconscious and shattering nearly all his golden shields.

Ch. 1214Battlefield Out of Control

Kyle considered whether to deploy the Star Contract Legion after the Holy Shield Legion failed to destroy the Shadow Blade Legion without losses. The Black Asia Orcs began withdrawing from Tase City, while Velin learned of the battle’s outcome and asked about Namos’s condition.

  • Kyle learned that the Holy Shield Legion had failed to wipe out the Shadow Blade Legion and that Namos had been severely wounded, then questioned whether to commit the Star Contract Legion.
  • Manus received Gamongri’s withdrawal order, and Sinisa told him that the Shadow Blade Legion had been nearly wiped out.
  • Manus ordered Bartholomew to prepare the Third Legion to withdraw and leave its supplies behind.
  • A Low-Gold Shadow Assassin found the Black Asia Orc camp mostly empty and hurried back to report its suspicious state.
  • Velin realized the losses had ruined his scheme and asked about Namos’s injuries.

Ch. 1215Plan Collapsed, Strategy Shift

Velin changed the Ninth Legion’s strategy after the failed plan left Namos badly injured and the Shadow Blade Legion crippled. The Black Asia Orcs withdrew and razed Giant Stone Mountain Fortress, while the human forces occupied the Kamo Tribe Territory and began rebuilding the fortress as the northern battlefield settled into a standoff.

  • Velin learned that Namos’s body was severely injured but his soul remained unharmed, sent him to Lekaya City of War, and appointed the Holy Shield Legion’s deputy commander to take over.
  • Velin revised the Ninth Legion’s orders, while Gamonli withdrew his forces from the Kamo Tribe Territory to avoid confronting the human legions.
  • Kyle found that the Black Asia Orcs had abandoned their camp, restrained the remaining warriors, and ordered his troops to seize the supplies without embezzling them.
  • Gamonli ordered the evacuation and destruction of Giant Stone Mountain Fortress and the surrounding territory, leaving nearly ten thousand square kilometers scorched.
  • The Second Army of the Twenty-Sixth Legion entered the fortress ruins after scouting them, and Velin ordered auxiliary soldiers and prisoners of war to rebuild the fortress as the northern front turned defensive.

Ch. 1216The King of Wind Fairies' Trial

Velin prepared to leave the Ninth Legion for the King of Wind Fairies’ trial in the Puta Luoyu Realm, delegating the legion’s affairs before departing. He brought Leonas along as an observer, and Leonas accepted the opportunity.

  • Tayana arrived to fetch Velin and Kyle, explaining that disrupted space prevented the King’s Wind Mark from opening a gateway to the Puta Luoyu Realm.
  • Velin arranged for Selina and Pragorn to jointly manage the Ninth Legion and outlined its defensive plans while he was away.
  • Tayana revealed herself to Leonas, and Velin explained that Kyle had been invited to take part in the King of Wind Fairies’ trial after a wager with Doyle Eliot.
  • Velin offered Leonas one of the places to watch the trial because of his connection to Lester, and Leonas accepted, thanking Velin.

Ch. 1217The Beginning of the Puta Luoyu Realm Trial

Velin gathered his companions to begin the Puta Luoyu Realm trial and led them through a passage to the Realm Above the Clouds. There, the King of Wind Fairies welcomed them and introduced two other figures who would take part in the trial.

  • Velin told Kyle to hand over the Fifteenth Army’s affairs and report to the Legion Command Department in three days.
  • Velin visited Xuemiyya, explained that the Puta Luoyu Realm trial was about to begin, and named himself, Xuemiyya, Kyle, Lyanna, Leonas, and Cecilia as the group he planned to bring.
  • Three days later, Tayana opened a passage outside Lekaya City of War, and Velin and the others entered the Realm Above the Clouds.
  • Velin greeted the King of Wind Fairies, who introduced Dominia Viden Ternacorn Clyster and Vaolite Yachik Gamonasn to the group.
  • The King of Wind Fairies introduced Kyle to Dominia and Vaolite, while Cecilia greeted the king and ate a fruit rich in World Origin Qi.

Ch. 1218Kongming Sky Trench

Kyle explained the seven elemental tiers of the Puta Luoyu Realm, and the King of Wind Fairies set the three trial rounds in the Kongming Sky Trench. After promising rewards and helping Cecilia digest excess world origin Qi, the King opened a gateway and led everyone into the trial ground.

  • Kyle described the seven tiers of the Puta Luoyu Realm, from the Abyssal Dark Soil to the Time Wheel Realm.
  • The King of Wind Fairies announced that the trials would take place in the Kongming Sky Trench and outlined the three rounds.
  • The King promised Dominia, Violet, and Kyle ten strands of world origin Qi each, plus a wish for each if they won.
  • The King of Wind Fairies helped Cecilia digest the world origin Qi that had left her bloated.
  • The King opened a gateway to the Kongming Sky Trench and led everyone through it.

Ch. 1219Progenitor of the Dark Raven

The King of Wind Fairies and the Progenitor of the Dark Raven met on a shattered landmass in the Kongming Sky Trench with their Trial-takers. Seraph Yusia arrived, greeted the two progenitors, and became fascinated with Cecilia.

  • The Progenitor of the Dark Raven arrived with Kamilak Raglan, Prisla Ramanda Gretas, and Edgar Bamund, then introduced them to the King of Wind Fairies.
  • The King of Wind Fairies and the Progenitor of the Dark Raven discussed Yusia's lateness and Hazel's departure from the Fadya Danoya Plane.
  • Yusia appeared in blazing divine light and descended onto the shattered landmass.
  • Yusia greeted the King of Wind Fairies and the Progenitor of the Dark Raven, then approached Cecilia and rubbed her cheeks.

Ch. 1220Seizing the Gap Lens

Seraph Yuxia gave Cecilia a World Origin Crystal before the six Trial-takers began a fifteen-day trial to capture Wind Whisperers and collect Gap Lenses from their wings. As the creatures grew stronger with each new batch, Kyle and the others paused to rest before the fifth batch arrived.

  • Yuxia gave Cecilia a Fiery Red World Origin Crystal and held her while the King of Wind Fairies sent the six Trial-takers to the floating land.
  • The first round began, and Kyle used magic to remove two Gap Lenses from a Wind Whisperer while the other Trial-takers gathered lenses by their own methods.
  • The Progenitor of the Dark Raven saw that his faction had collected more Gap Lenses than the King of Wind Fairies' faction, while Yuxia focused on Cecilia and Velin and the others watched Kyle.
  • Over the trial's first twelve days, successive batches of Wind Whisperers grew stronger, with the fourth batch including Soul Intent rank creatures.
  • At dawn, Kyle and the other Trial-takers stopped collecting Gap Lenses and rested while they waited for the fifth batch.

Ch. 1221Thunder Angel

Kyle fought six Soul Intent High-level Wind Whisperers in the trial’s final battle, while Yusia recognized his bloodline as inherited from Adonis. The trial ended with the Wind Whisperers acknowledging Kyle’s strength and giving him a purple Gap Lens.

  • Thirty-six Soul Intent High-level Wind Whisperers arrived, and six demanded that Kyle surrender his Gap Lenses; he refused and accepted their challenge.
  • Kyle summoned Putlock's Spear and fought the six Wind Whisperers as the Progenitor of the Dark Raven recognized the weapon and Yusia explained its connection to Adonis and the Thunder Angels.
  • Kyle and the other Trial-takers held their own against the Wind Whisperers, but the battle damaged the northeastern region and Kyle could not defeat his opponents before the trial ended.
  • After fighting for three days and three nights, the six Wind Whisperers stopped and saluted Kyle, then gave him a purple Gap Lens as proof of their recognition.
  • Kyle accepted the Gap Lens because the trial’s result depended on the total number collected by the three members of his group.

Ch. 1222Collecting Wind Syllables

After the first round ended with the Progenitor of the Dark Raven’s faction in the lead, the trial-takers began a second trial at the Speech Binding Cloud Bridge, where they had to collect Wind Syllables and compose music. Kyle presented a piece about his lord’s rise, and its music conjured scenes of a young knight’s journey.

  • Kyle saw that he ranked third in the first round, while the Progenitor of the Dark Raven’s faction won overall.
  • The trial-takers returned to the shattered floating landmass, where the Progenitor of the Dark Raven claimed a narrow victory over Pardis.
  • Yusia transported everyone to the Speech Binding Cloud Bridge and sealed the trial-takers’ offensive abilities.
  • The King of Wind Fairies announced that the six trial-takers had half a month to collect Wind Syllables and compose music.
  • Kyle searched the floating islands for Wind Syllables to make a composition about his lord’s rise from Pioneer Knight to Qixing Count.
  • Kyle presented his piece, and the Wind Syllables formed an illusion showing a young knight leaving a castle and traveling through borderlands, snowy hills, and a battlefield.

Ch. 1223"Qixing Knight"

Kyle’s movement, “Qixing Knight,” briefly led the second trial before Dominia’s “Wind of Nature” surpassed it. Edgar Bamund, the Twilight Orc, the Dragonborn Warlock, and the Shadow Creature then performed their movements, with the last three failing to attract many Wind Speakers.

  • Kyle’s “Qixing Knight” drew a large crowd of Wind Speakers and received provisional first place.
  • Dominia performed “Wind of Nature,” and Kyle accepted the King of Wind Fairies’ encouragement after realizing he had lost the lead.
  • Velin gained insight into nature from Dominia’s movement, and “Wind of Nature” took first place after the Wind Speakers were counted.
  • Edgar Bamund performed a movement depicting his kingdom’s capital and attracted fewer than a third as many Wind Speakers as Kyle.
  • The Twilight Orc, Dragonborn Warlock, and Shadow Creature performed their movements, but attracted few Wind Speakers.

Ch. 1224Memory Crystal

After the second trial ended in a tie, Seraph Yuxia began the final trial, sending six Trial-takers into Memory Crystals to rewrite regrets from the past. Kyle entered the memories of Cyril Barretania, whose regret involved saving Shana, and learned that a new order to recruit auxiliary troops could lead to her death.

  • The King of Wind Fairies' faction won the second trial, leaving both sides tied and the final outcome to the third trial.
  • Seraph Yuxia gave each of the six Trial-takers a purple Memory Crystal and told them to rewrite the regrets inside.
  • Kyle entered a Memory Crystal as Cyril Barretania, a Dragon Knight serving in the Lienleitaia Empire's expeditionary war against the Taramus World Cluster.
  • Kyle learned that his task was to save Shana, the younger sister of his battalion commander, Roland.
  • Roland told Kyle that Roland Camp had to prepare two hundred thousand auxiliary troops within three years, a demand that could destabilize Vinumanra and expose Shana to danger.

Ch. 1225The Riddle Within the Riddle

Kyle served as Silier in the Vinumanra Plane, where he avoided suspicion from Roland and Shana while carrying out his duties. Three years later, he began hunting the God of Holy Light’s followers and questioned whether the Memory Crystal hid details about Shana’s coming death.

  • Roland rejected Kyle’s suggestion to kill the inhabitants, intending to keep them as a reserve source of soldiers, and sent Kyle to rest.
  • Shana noticed that Silier wore his Knight Sword on the wrong side and acted unusually distant and respectful, but Roland dismissed her concerns.
  • Kyle realized he had made a small mistake, then went to the Training Ground to lie low.
  • Three years later, Roland had prepared two hundred thousand Auxiliary Army Soldiers, and Kyle arrived with Shana at the Kingdom of Gallus’s capital.
  • Kyle ordered a sweep for followers of the God of Holy Light, recalling that Shana would die in Gallus two years later in the events recorded by the Memory Crystal.
  • Outside the Memory Crystal, Yusia watched Kyle with interest and decided to see how far he could go.
