Ch. 1417The Secret Alva Brought

Velin met Alva in a forest Demiplane and asked about Krell, but Alva redirected their conversation before revealing that three Legendary figures would leave the Church of Life for an expedition. Alva urged Velin to stay neutral in the factional struggle their departure would expose, and Velin considered the advice.

  • Alva brought Velin through a Demiplane passage to a vast forest, where they chatted and settled down to talk.
  • Velin asked Alva what had happened to Krell, but Alva said he had already told him and steered the subject away from the secret.
  • Alva revealed that the Holy Life Kingdom was assembling an Expeditionary Army to join the Kalaveria Empire's Twenty-Third Astral Fleet on an expedition to a Level Four World Cluster.
  • Alva explained that Archbishop Yarbo, Chief Judge Otia, and Lord Silvan would join the expedition, leaving the Church of Life in the Kingdom of Isia with six Legendary figures and exposing its factional conflicts.
  • Alva advised Velin to remain neutral, saying his status as a God-Bestowed Count would keep the factions from disturbing him, and Velin thought over the warning.

Ch. 1418Gifts Brought Along (Part Two)

Alva explained how the Church’s safeguards preserved the Demiplane for Velin and showed him the rewards the Church had granted. Velin learned the Demiplane had once belonged to Archbishop Yarbo and began reviewing his other rewards, including Joshua Island.

  • Alva gave Velin the Heart of the Demiplane and explained that a safeguard had prevented another Legend from taking it.
  • Alva told Velin that the Demiplane, once called Chitis, contained magical plants shaped by a Tree of Life that Archbishop Yarbo had since removed.
  • Alva showed Velin the lake and ancient wooden buildings at the Demiplane’s center, and Velin felt the house’s calming effect.
  • Velin read the Church’s reward list, which included Legendary Holy Water of Life, Legendary Knight Armor, and Joshua Island.
  • Alva explained that Archbishop Yarbo had forged Joshua Island during a visit from Lord Karnelius Kredos, and Velin suspected Yarbo had supplied many of his rewards.

Ch. 1419Boundless Sea

  • Italia helped Krell recover and flew with him toward a distant light.
  • An Eight-winged Angel appeared and regarded Krell and Italia with contempt as they backed away.

  • Italia carried Krell more than thirty kilometers away, where they watched the battle and Krell said Velin could defeat the angel and dragon in an instant.
  • Krell drew Italia into his arms and began to tell her about the expedition campaign.

Ch. 1421Taboo

After the ice warrior deciphered the Gate of Light’s inscription and died after triggering an unknown taboo, the portal opened and drew the gathered Transcendents out of the Boundless Sea. They emerged near Star Moon Fort, where an immense pressure pinned the Eight-winged Angel and the transformed Rainbow Dragon to the ground, leaving Talia and Krell bewildered.

  • Viderknes and Meltis stopped fighting, exchanged names and promised to finish their battle later, while Talia, Krell, and other Transcendents approached the Gate of Light.
  • An ice warrior from Element Space read the gate’s unknown inscription aloud and then stood motionless, apparently dead, after everyone fell into a daze.
  • The reset did not occur as expected, and the gathered Transcendents paid their respects as the Gate of Light opened and the ice warrior dissolved into ice crystals.
  • The portal pulled everyone inside, while the Boundless Sea reset and sent those who remained back to the day they had entered.
  • On January 1, 9780, four figures emerged from a rift near Star Moon Fort, and an immense pressure drove Meltis and the transformed Viderknes into the ground as Talia and Krell watched in disbelief.

Ch. 1422The truth about the dragon and the angel

  • Velin caught up with Krell at Fountain Square while Xuemiyya took Talia away.

Ch. 1423This Is Impossible!

Velin met Viderknes and Meltis, who mistook him for a powerful dragon or angel, while Kyle punished Meltis for attacking him. O'dor arrived and told Velin that his vacation would end in two days, after which he would spend eighteen months helping build a Floating Battleship.

  • Velin told Krell that he would ask his uncle-in-law about the Boundless Sea, then went to greet Kyle and his companions.
  • Kyle introduced Viderknes as a Rainbow Dragon and Meltis as a Seraph, and both asked Velin which powerful race he belonged to.
  • Velin said he was an ordinary human, but Meltis refused to believe him and attacked, so Kyle seized her and beat her in the sky.
  • Viderknes wondered whether Velin was a Child of Destiny and considered investing in him.
  • O'dor arrived and told Velin that his vacation would end in two days, when they would begin building a hundred-meter-class Floating Battleship for eighteen months.

Ch. 1424Mirror Barrier

Velin asked O'dor about the Boundless Sea and learned that it was the ancient Mirror Barrier, a place where powerful beings fought and fortunate visitors gathered treasures. The chapter ended with Velin and Krell receiving warnings about the Sea’s dangers and how to leave it.

  • Velin watched Kyle beat the Eight-winged Female Angel and considered using the encounter to secure powerful allies for Qixing Territory.
  • O'dor reflected on his plans, the threat of Jia, and the destiny trial Velin had accepted.
  • Velin asked O'dor what the Boundless Sea was, and O'dor identified it as the Epic Battlefield.
  • O'dor shared memories explaining that the Boundless Sea was the ancient Mirror Barrier, once part of the world's defenses and later a battlefield for gods and Epics.
  • O'dor explained that the Sea drew fortunate beings from Ilaria World's four great spaces, offered them treasures, and barred Epics from entering during their stay.
  • O'dor warned Velin and Krell not to investigate the Sea’s secrets and explained that visitors could leave by waiting at the gateway for time to cross its boundary.

Ch. 1425Winning Hearts with a Routine

After Kyle defeated Meltis’s arrogance, she apologized to Velin and agreed to study under Kyle in exchange for work. Velin then turned to Viderknes and began negotiating for him to stay.

  • Kyle healed Meltis after their fight, and she reflected on her father’s warnings before apologizing to Kyle.
