Ch. 1957Zeflin's punishment

Velin punished Zeflin for the Floating Fleet attack by removing her as Ice Legion commander and assigning her as Xuemiyya’s Head Maid for at least three months. Three days later, Velin, Xuemiyya, and Kyle departed aboard the Star Moon, while a young painter at sea brought creatures out of his painting.

  • Velin told Zeflin he did not blame her for the attack but removed her as Ice Legion commander and sent her to serve Xuemiyya as Head Maid for at least three months.
  • Velin gave Zeflin five thousand kaike of Seven-Colored Crystal to distribute among the Ice Legion, and Zeflin left the palace.
  • Zeflin asked to see the lady, but a High-rank Silver Knight told her an audience was not possible; Kyle watched her leave and reflected on Velin’s plan.
  • Three days later, Velin brought the Star Moon out of the Cecilia Demiplane, and he, Xuemiyya, and Kyle boarded it to travel north.
  • Over the sea, a young man tapped his painting, causing the creatures depicted in it to burst out onto the deck of his Floating Ship.

Ch. 1958Old Friend

After nearly eighty years, Grey reunited with Velin to fulfill the promise they had made when they first met. Grey revealed that he was still a Legend, though between a Continental Legend and a World Legendary, and showed the three treasures that concealed his strength.

  • Grey prepared to leave the world after meeting Velin, while Anlia asked to stay longer and helped him ready tea.
  • Grey spotted Velin's Floating Ship approaching and gathered the living beings from his paintings back into their scroll.
  • Velin, Xuemya, and Kyle boarded Grey's Floating Ship, and Grey and Velin recalled their first meeting in Ilyria.
  • Anlia told Velin that Grey had paid a price to arrange their meeting, and Kyle asked whether Grey was an Epic disguised as a Legend.
  • Grey denied being an Epic, described his power as between a Continental Legend and a World Legendary, and revealed three treasures that blocked their perception.

Ch. 1959Second Transaction with the Astral Mage (Part 1)

Velin, Xuemya, and Kyle met the Star Realm Merchant Grey, who showed them treasures to trade for. Velin exchanged rare soul-related materials for plants and creatures, leaving 17,500 trade points for Xuemya and Kyle.

  • Grey revealed that the three artifacts were Epic Treasures, then offered Velin, Xuemya, and Kyle virtual panels of items to browse.
  • While Xuemya and Kyle studied their panels, Velin offered Grey Kaike Seven-Colored Crystals, Purple Gel, and Gold Nether Crystal for appraisal.
  • Grey valued the crystals at 0.5 trade points each and agreed to buy 100,000, along with one hundred bottles each of Purple Gel and Gold Nether Crystal.
  • Grey credited Velin with 111,000 trade points, and Velin selected several plants and creatures costing 93,500 points.
  • Grey noted that 17,500 trade points remained, and Velin confirmed that he was saving them for Xuemya and Kyle.

Ch. 1960Second Transaction with the Astral Realm Mage (Part 2)

Grey traded for Transcendent knowledge with Xuemya and Kyle aboard the Floating Ship. After Xuemya spent her trade points on knowledge of the mind aspect, Kyle offered an insight into the Creation Law in exchange for five Semi-Epic Treasures.

  • Grey told Velin about his travels across Ilyria and said he would leave the world from Velin’s territory.
  • Velin gave Xuemya and Kyle 8,750 trade points each from his remaining balance with Grey.
  • Xuemya exchanged her books and research notes for 32,788 trade points, then spent her total balance on mind-aspect Transcendent knowledge.

  • Kyle offered an insight into the Creation Law for five Semi-Epic Treasures, and Grey asked whether Kyle was willing to make the trade.

Ch. 1961Artifact

Kyle chose the Soul Crown of the Immortal from Grey’s Divine Artifacts in a trade for an epic treasure, intending to give it to his Lord when he reached Legend. As Grey and the others parted at dawn, he gave Velin a shard of the Ring of Time, asking only that Velin remember his name.

  • Grey accepted the trade and displayed thirteen Divine Artifacts for Velin, Xuemya, and Kyle to examine.
  • Kyle chose the Soul Crown of the Immortal, and Grey kept it while returning the other twelve artifacts to an unknown space.
  • At dawn, Velin and Grey exchanged farewell wishes before Grey offered Velin a gift.
  • Anlia presented a time-powered fragment, and the Druid's Book tried to seize it until Velin stopped it and sealed it in a Demiplane.
  • Velin offered Grey a World Origin Crystal for the shard, but Grey refused payment and asked Velin to remember his name instead.
  • Velin accepted the shard of the Ring of Time after Grey explained that being remembered would give him greater weight when he looked into the past.

Ch. 1962Farewell - See You Again in the Future, or Never

Velin said farewell to Grey, then returned to the Okra Kingdom and prepared to discuss using Magic Puppets as cannon fodder for an assault on the Holy Blood Papal State. He and Xuemya reached the Third Corps headquarters, where Doxius welcomed them after Velin revealed his identity.

  • Grey departed on the Floating Ship for the Xenops Subcontinent, while Velin recorded his farewell from Grey on page thirty of her notebook.

  • At the Third Corps headquarters, a guard challenged Velin and Xuemya, so they dispelled their disguises.
  • Doxius appeared and welcomed Velin and Xuemya as the guard’s accusation was cut short.

Ch. 1963Angus's Current Situation

Velin visited the Third Corps headquarters, found his father Angus badly weakened by Duke Moravia’s trials, and healed him before stopping when Angus pleaded. He then told Duke Moravia that the Holy Blood Papal State had orchestrated Xuemya’s attack and asked to borrow Magic Puppets for a counterstrike.

  • Velin rewarded a Low-rank Silver warrior for his vigilance and told him that a grilled-meat vendor near the western city gate might be an Okra Kingdom remnant.
  • Doxius led Velin and Xuemya to the Third Corps headquarters, where Velin realized Duke Moravia had replaced the guards with Qixing Territory troops to isolate Angus.
  • Duke Moravia summoned Velin into a side hall, where Velin found Angus exhausted after months of trials and discovered that he had become an Intermediate Soul Intent knight.
  • Velin used [Heal - Life] to repair Angus’s body, then stopped when Angus grabbed his sleeve and pleaded for him to quit.
  • Velin told Duke Moravia that the Holy Blood Papal State had planned Xuemya’s attack and said Kyle had gone to borrow three Legends and one thousand Soul Intent Tier Transcendents from the Dawn Church.
  • Velin asked Duke Moravia to lend him Magic Puppets to eliminate the Holy Blood Papal State’s garrison troops.

Ch. 19641971. Twenty Thousand Cheap Magic Puppets

Velin arranged for Duke Moravia’s twenty thousand cheap Magic Puppets to be used in the coming battle and settled how the spoils would be divided. He promised Doxius governorships in Treya and Twilight Provinces, while Kyle arrived at the Dawn Grand Cathedral to meet the Pope.

  • Duke Moravia agreed to provide twenty thousand practice Magic Puppets, and Velin proposed fitting them with self-destruct arrays and dividing the spoils among Moravia, the Qixing Army, and the battle’s supporters.
  • Duke Moravia gave Xuemya a ring radiating the brilliance of law, and Velin sent her into the Cecilia Demiplane to examine it.
  • Velin asked Doxius whether he wanted to become a provincial governor, and promised to appoint him governor of Treya Province and Twilight Province by the following spring.
  • Velin told Doxius to gain governing experience and warned him not to poach Qixing Territory’s staff or let his descendants grow corrupt.
  • In May 9799, Kyle arrived at the Dawn Grand Cathedral, where the Pope agreed to receive him.

Ch. 1965The Dawn Knights of Yesteryear

Kyle secured Dawn Church forces and divine artifacts for the Eternal Dawn Knight in exchange for land, while Dawn Pontiff Amicilia assigned Celeste to lead the contingent. Celeste also arranged to meet Mirna’s sweetheart and recruited Leonus to help select the forces.

  • Kyle asked Dawn Pontiff Amicilia for three Legends, one thousand Soul Intent Transcendents, and two divine artifacts, offering the Dawn Church eight million square kilometers of land; she agreed to prepare them within seven days.
  • Celeste advised Mirna to introduce the man she had been seeing, and she promised to bring him to meet Celeste the day after tomorrow.

  • Dawn Pontiff Amicilia appointed Celeste to lead the force and ordered him to select its members from several Dawn Church institutions and legions.
  • Celeste went to the Heretic Tribunal and asked Leonus to help organize the contingent.

Ch. 1966Reminiscing

Celeste recruited Leonus to assemble a thousand Soul Intent Tier Transcendents for the Eternal Dawn Knight, then met Kyle at North Mountain and recounted his Dawn Paladin trial. He revealed that after years of hiding and building forces, an unexpected event occurred in the sixth century of the trial’s second millennium, and asked Kyle to guess what it was.

  • Celeste extracted a cultist’s memories, gave the memory orbs to two Judgment Knights, and asked Leonus to join the expedition to lend people to the Eternal Dawn Knight.
  • Leonus agreed, and Celeste tasked him with selecting one thousand Soul Intent Tier Transcendents from several institutions, including at least one hundred High-tier and three hundred Intermediate Soul Intent.
  • Celeste left Leonus to seek approval for the selection and flew to North Mountain, where Kyle was waiting with tea.
  • Kyle asked how long Celeste had taken to complete the Dawn Paladin trial, and Celeste revealed that he had experienced three thousand years while only about thirty years had passed for his soul.
  • Celeste recounted being hunted upon arrival, surviving by faking his death, hiding for a thousand years, and using the Abyss’s invasion as a chance to act before asking Kyle to guess what happened in the second millennium’s sixth century.

Ch. 1967I'm Married

Celeste told Kyle how he used a world consciousness to defeat the Abyss and the native gods, then offered him a godhood. Kyle revealed that he had married the blue-haired maid, and the two went to fight in the Shadow World; meanwhile, Leonus selected judgment knights for a list.

  • Celeste explained that the world consciousness had helped him expel the Abyss and eliminate the gods in exchange for making the world a pasture of the Dawn.
  • Celeste said he had returned to Ilyria World as a Dawn Paladin and offered Kyle one of two godhoods, which Kyle declined.
  • Kyle revealed that he had married his blue-haired maid, and Celeste correctly guessed who his wife was.
  • Celeste opened a passage to the Shadow World, and Kyle followed him inside for a fight.
  • Leonus screened the kingdom's Soul Intent judgment knights and selected 375 candidates from the 1,125 still in the kingdom.

Ch. 1968Quota Allocation

Leonus assembled one thousand Soul Intent Transcendents for Kyle, who took them into the Meria Demiplane. Afterward, Holy Knight Celeste and Kyle were summoned to the Dawn Grand Cathedral to meet the Dawn Pontiff and two other Legendary powerhouses.

  • Leonus allocated one thousand slots among the Dawn Church, the Shield of Holy Light Legion, the Star Oath Legion, and its recruitment worlds, then arranged for the selected people to gather.

  • A holy knight summoned Holy Knight Celeste and Kyle to the Dawn Grand Cathedral at the Dawn Pontiff's request, while Celeste sent Leonus home before telling him to wait at North Mountain.

Ch. 1969Recruitment Officer—Valkast

Kyle and Celeste met Dawn Pontiff Amicilia’s chosen Legendary Experts, Simons Caswell and Valkast, and received two Divine Artifacts for the Eternal Dawn Knight. While waiting for Simons at North Mountain, Celeste learned that Valkast had come from the Holy First Dawn Kingdom to recruit soldiers for the Outer Realm Army.

  • Dawn Pontiff Amicilia introduced Simons Caswell and Valkast and showed Kyle and Celeste the Void Boundary and Canucalis Dust-Returning Box.
  • Valkast said he could leave immediately, while Simons asked to attend to personal matters for half a day.
  • Kyle, Celeste, and Valkast flew to North Mountain to wait for Simons.
  • Celeste asked Valkast about his origins, and Valkast said he was born in the Holy First Dawn Kingdom and had served in the Outer Realm Army since age thirty.
  • Valkast said he would conscript three hundred of the one thousand Soul Intent Tier Transcendents and listed additional recruitment quotas across the Holy Third Dawn Kingdom and its worlds.
  • Celeste inferred that the recruitment drive would supply roughly ten billion troops and that the Outer Realm Army had faced a brutal war.

Ch. 1970The Legend Duke Moravia Brought

Leonus joined Kyle, Simons Caswell, Valkast, and Celeste on North Mountain, and the group set out for the Advent Continent. Later, Velin met Duke Moravia, who arrived with a red-dressed woman and warned her that an angel and a powerful Legend stood beside his grandson.

  • Celeste hinted that Valkast's duties in the Outer Realm Army resembled Leonus's work, though they were bloodier.
  • Simons Caswell arrived at North Mountain, and Leonus arrived the next morning and apologized to Valkast for being late.
  • Kyle opened a Demiplane passage, and Leonus entered the Messia Demiplane before the others prepared to travel toward the Advent Continent.
  • Velin struggled with his growing workload and considered finding a Legendary powerhouse to help him govern.
  • Duke Moravia arrived at the Okra Kingdom's capital with a red-dressed woman, who showed interest in Velin.
  • Duke Moravia warned the red-dressed woman that an angel and a Continental Legend stood beside Velin, and she abandoned the idea of pursuing him.

Ch. 1971Dragonblood Sorceress Alerian

Alerian met Velin to discuss whether she would settle down and serve him, while revealing that she had once pursued Moravia. Their conversation left Velin visibly curious about her past feelings for his grandfather.

  • Alerian realized Moravia's grandson might have nurtured a Continental Legend and learned that Velin held the titles God-Bestowed Count, Moon Knight, and Eternal Dawn Knight.
  • Alerian asked Moravia whether she could become his daughter-in-law or granddaughter-in-law, but he firmly rejected the possibility.
  • Moravia introduced Alerian to Velin and warned him that she was flirtatious and lecherous before leaving through a spatial passage.
  • Velin asked Alerian about settling down, and she said she would serve or swear loyalty to him if he offered irresistible conditions.
  • Alerian told Velin she had once loved Moravia and had even offered to be his lover, prompting Velin to show a flicker of curiosity.

Ch. 1972A Woman Good at Disguise

Velin searched for a strong man who might make Alerian’s heart stir, and she agreed to meet someone he had in mind. While they waited, Alerian recalled her twenty years adventuring with Moravia and their companions; when Priest Lavia arrived, she was immediately captivated by him.

  • Alerian told Velin that she liked strong men and would stay in his nation if he found someone who stirred her heart.
  • Velin sent a guard to fetch Priest Lavia from the Grand Cathedral of Life, then listened as Alerian recounted her old adventuring party and its members.
  • Alerian watched Lavia enter, approached him, and gently touched his bald head.
  • Lavia backed away and admonished Alerian, but forgave her after she apologized.
  • Alerian introduced herself as a friend of the Moon Knight, and Velin silently decided to let Lavia handle her on his own.

Ch. 1973Plan to Destroy the Holy Blood Papal State's Central Hub

Velin welcomed Celeste, Simons Caswell, and Valkast back to the Qixing Army’s territory and revealed his plan to destroy the Holy Blood Papal State’s central hub. The chapter ended with the attack scheduled to begin on January first and last three days.

  • Alerian used her acting to obtain information from Lavia, and Velin left Alerian in Lavia’s care before heading to the Administrative Hall.
  • Kyle led Celeste, Simons Caswell, and Valkast across the peninsula toward the Okra Kingdom’s royal palace, where the land’s spatial force reduced their strength to High-tier Soul Intent.
  • Velin recognized Celeste among the four arrivals and decided he would try to keep him in the undeveloped faith pasture.
  • Velin welcomed the group to the Administrative Hall, where Valkast introduced himself as a Holy First Dawn Kingdom recruiting officer sent by Pope Amicilia to support Velin.
  • Velin announced a plan to send five Legends, one thousand three hundred Soul Intent Tier Transcendents, and twenty thousand Magic Puppets against the heart of the Holy Blood Papal State on January first.

Ch. 1974Patrol the City Wall, Right?

Velin welcomed Kyle back, arranged matters with the Dawn Church’s Transcendents, and spent the afternoon with Xuemya and Cecilia. The chapter ended with Kyle expertly preparing a Gold-tier Iron-Spine Python Bull for dinner.

  • Velin agreed that forty percent of the operation’s gains would go to the Dawn Church’s thousand Soul Intent Tier Transcendents and left the distribution to Knight Celeste.
  • Velin learned that Kyle had returned, asked him to settle the visiting Transcendents, and ordered a guard to have Cassius hunt a Gold-tier magical beast.
  • Velin visited Xuemya, who guessed that Celeste had arrived and agreed to join Velin for drinks that evening.
  • Velin and Xuemya visited Cecilia in the Cecilia Demiplane and kept her company until nightfall.
  • Kyle used a knife to cleanly separate the hide, bones, and meat of the Iron-Spine Python Bull.

Ch. 1975Stay and Be a Duke

Velin invited Celeste to become a duke, and Celeste accepted. After dinner, Velin passed out from drinking, leaving Celeste and Kyle to drink together while Xuemya carried Velin back to the palace and prepared a Memory Crystal Orb for the morning.

  • Xuemya asked Celeste about his plans, and he said he might travel or preach after Mirna's marriage.
  • Velin offered Celeste a dukedom, and Celeste accepted after Velin warned him not to deceive him.
  • Kyle served dinner, and Velin ate the dishes before opening bottles of Shining Wine with Celeste.
  • Velin drank a bottle of Shining Wine and fell asleep, so Xuemya carried him back to the palace.
  • Kyle agreed to drink with Celeste until dawn while Xuemya placed a Memory Crystal Orb in the bedroom to record what she would tell Velin when he woke.

Ch. 1976He is a fellow traveler, a Dao companion, and a partner who can walk with me forever

Velin discovered Xuemya secretly listening to a Magic Memory Crystal Orb and encouraged her pursuit of Transcendent knowledge as a fellow traveler. He then led more than thirteen hundred Soul Intent Tier Transcendents and the Third Floating Fleet toward the Holy Blood Papal State to retaliate for the attack on Xuemya.

  • Velin caught Xuemya listening to the Magic Memory Crystal Orb and asked her to handle official documents as repayment for waiting for him.
  • Xuemya resolved to speed up her work so she could study Transcendent knowledge and close the growing gap between her strength and Velin's.
  • Velin found Kyle and another companion asleep among hundreds of empty wine bottles, settled them onto lounge chairs, and rested beside them.
  • Velin announced that the Holy Blood Papal State had masterminded the attack on Xuemya and offered additional rewards to the Soul Intent Tier Transcendents joining his retaliation.
  • Velin and his companions boarded the Star Moon Floating Ship as the Third Floating Fleet set out for the Holy Blood Papal State, while Xuemya watched and asked him to return safely.

Ch. 1977Holy Blood's Sweep -- Retaliatory Attack (Part 1)

Velin led the Third Floating Fleet through a massive space rift toward the City of Holy Blood, while two guardians discovered that five Demigods were involved and suspected the attack was retaliation for the church’s sacrifice of over a million prisoners. The chapter ended by outlining the city’s districts and stark divisions as the fleet approached its target.

  • Duke Moravia opened a huge space rift, and Velin ordered the Third Floating Fleet to advance toward the central hub of the Holy Blood Papal State.
  • The Dragon-Marked Man and the Black-Haired Woman emerged from the sea and determined that the rift’s power came from beyond their region.
  • The Black-Haired Woman used the Space-Time Peering Technique, learned there were five Demigods, and collapsed before she could finish her warning.
  • The Dragon-Marked Man caught the unconscious woman and flew toward land, suspecting the fleet was heading for the City of Holy Blood in retaliation for the church sacrificing more than a million prisoners.
  • The chapter described the City of Holy Blood’s thirteen districts, their ruling institutions, and the strict divisions between their residents.

Ch. 1978Holy Blood's Sweep -- Revenge Attack (Part 2)

Kyle and Velin began their retaliation against the Holy Blood Church by sealing off space and deploying an army over the City of Holy Blood. The Pope rallied the city’s civilians to fight back, and the war officially began.

  • The Space Monitoring Tower detected a massive spatial disturbance as a rift opened above the City of Holy Blood and Floating Battleships emerged.
  • Kyle activated the Void Boundary and Canucalis Dust-Returning Box, sealing space and isolating the city’s airspace.
  • At Velin’s request, Duke Moravia sent twenty thousand Magic Puppets through a Demiplane passage to attack the city after its shield collapsed.
  • The Pope ordered the Church’s forces to prepare for battle and used divine power to rouse civilians in the Eighth through Twelfth Districts against the invading Magic Puppets.
  • The Pope watched the battleships overhead and declared that the war had officially begun.

Ch. 1979Holy Blood's Sweep - Retaliatory Attack (Part 2)

Velin’s forces launched their assault on the City of Holy Blood, overwhelming the church’s air fleet while Soul Intent Tier Transcendents fought its defenders. Velin confronted the white-haired elder outside the Holy Blood Cathedral, and the elder activated the cathedral’s two metal knights as Velin prepared to fight.

  • Velin watched civilians destroy Magic Puppets, whose cores exploded and killed the Level 4 Professionals surrounding them.
  • At dawn, Velin signaled the attack, sending more than thirteen hundred Soul Intent Tier Transcendents into battle as the Third Floating Fleet advanced on the Holy Blood Church Sky Fleet.
  • The Soul Intent Tier Transcendents fought the church’s Level 8 and Ninth Rank Professionals in the air while Galia ordered the Third Floating Fleet to fire its magic arrays.
  • The Third Floating Fleet’s assault destroyed more than half of the church’s Sky Battleships in less than a quarter of an hour.
  • Velin left the Star Moon Floating Ship and headed for the Holy Blood Cathedral, where the Death Knight and Life Knight swiftly dealt with twelve Ninth Rank professionals sent to stop him.
  • Velin drew his sword and enclosed the airspace in the Law of Wind, while the white-haired elder awakened the cathedral’s two metal knights and revealed their rune-covered red armor.

Ch. 1980Trying to Take Us Down with You? How Naive

Velin overwhelmed the Holy Blood Church’s defenders, stopped the white-haired old man from sacrificing the city’s souls, and killed him. As Kyle kept the remaining Ninth Rank professionals from entering the cathedral, Velin raised Anansi’s Sword toward the faceless divine statue.

  • Velin destroyed the white-haired old man’s metal puppets and forced him back with Anansi’s Sword.
  • The old man borrowed faith power to summon the Blood-Forged Axe’s sacred apparition, but Velin cleaved it apart with [Sky—Shatter].
  • The old man tried to activate a divine artifact, found it had been disabled, and released hundreds of thousands of souls to curse his enemy.
  • The Death Knight halted the souls, drew out their resentment, and sent over a million of them into the River Styx.
  • Velin revived the dying old man long enough to kill him and annihilate his soul.
  • Kyle annihilated six Ninth Rank professionals outside the cathedral as Velin raised Anansi’s Sword toward the divine statue.

Ch. 1981Destroying the God of Holy Blood's Lingering Consciousness

Velin destroyed the God of Holy Blood’s lingering consciousness and earned the world’s recognition, then searched for the church’s hidden treasury. The war ended with the Holy Blood Church’s forces surrendering, while Velin and Kyle tried to open the entrance to an unclaimed demiplane.

  • Velin shattered the statue and destroyed the God of Holy Blood’s phantom, earning sixteen marks of recognition on the World Disk.
  • Velin received knowledge of the God of Holy Blood’s blood authority and sealed it away before finding the entrance to the Holy Blood Church Treasury.
  • Celeste ordered the Holy Blood Church forces to surrender and be detained, and their remaining troops gave up.
  • Celeste quietly asked Valkast to leave Leonus off the conscription list, and Valkast complied.
  • Velin and Kyle reached the palace beneath the Holy Blood Cathedral, where Kyle began trying to open the passage to the unclaimed demiplane.
