Life under the Main Family

Hizashi is Hiashi’s younger twin brother. Despite their nearly identical appearances and comparable natural talent, their upbringing separates them sharply: Hiashi receives preferential treatment and access to the Main Family’s secret techniques, while Hizashi serves as his sparring partner and is forbidden to hurt him. His Byakugan is also restricted by the Caged Bird Seal. He never defeats Hiashi during their childhood or adult sparring matches 211 213 222 230.

Hizashi nevertheless remains devoted to protecting Hiashi and the Main Family. During the crisis following Hinata’s kidnapping, he accepts a plan to surrender his corpse to appease Kumogakure. When Hiashi objects, Hizashi seals his pressure points and renders him unconscious, intending to protect him even at the cost of leaving Neji fatherless 13.
