Background / History
Kaze is a transmigrator with knowledge of the future direction of the ninja world and familiarity with abilities from another world. Before gaining power, he feared the Uchiha Clan Downfall; after discovering he possessed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, he began pursuing a plan to prevent it and reshape Konoha’s political order 5.
Initially viewed as an unremarkable Uchiha, Kaze abruptly reveals exceptional Lightning Release talent when a newly developed technique destroys his roof. Fugaku subsequently invites him to attend future clan meetings, while Shisui worries that Kaze may be influenced by the clan’s radical elements 4.
Kaze’s early rise is marked by lethal confrontations with Kumogakure and Root. He eliminates a Cloud ninja squad, defeats Danzo’s subordinate Ryoma in a single move, and later kills Danzo himself 7 17 75. By exposing Danzo’s crimes through the Police Force’s controlled broadcast, he forces Konoha’s leadership to manage the political fallout on his terms 106.
His victory over Fugaku fundamentally changes his standing within the Uchiha Clan. Kaze defeats the clan head with overwhelming Lightning Release, an artificial Lightning Release Susanoo, and Iron Sand, earning broad recognition as the clan’s foremost genius 92 93.
During the conflict with Kumogakure and Kirigakure, Kaze captures Killer B, kills the Fourth Raikage and Yagura, and helps secure the Eight-Tails for Konoha 168 181 192 201. These achievements lead Hiruzen to promote him to Elite Jonin and grant him control of the Leaf Village Police Force 192.
Appearance
Kaze is an Uchiha shinobi who commonly wears a haori. In combat, his appearance is distinguished by lightning-based transformations and ocular techniques 88 100.
- Activates the Sharingan, including a three-tomoe form 88.
- Can manifest a massive Lightning Release Susanoo-like construct 92 201.
- His arms wither and darken when Enma drains his chakra 100 168.
- Golden Body Mode envelops him in dazzling golden light 691.
Personality
Kaze is pragmatic, ambitious, and highly distrustful of Konoha’s established leadership. He does not accept the Will of Fire uncritically and prefers to secure his own leverage rather than rely on Hiruzen’s goodwill 76 197.
He believes strength is necessary to earn recognition, but he also uses public service, political messaging, intelligence, and reform to build support. His goal is not merely to seize authority: he seeks to transform the Police Force into an institution civilians can rely on and ultimately become Hokage through broad recognition 109 204.
In battle, Kaze is decisive and ruthless toward enemies. Fugaku concludes that, in a real deathmatch, Kaze would not hesitate to kill 92. However, Kaze also avoids needless violence when it would damage his reputation, choosing genjutsu over slaughter in Kusagakure 150.

- Achieves Sage Mode on his first attempt 483.
