Background / History

Mito lived through the Warring States Period and became Hashirama Senju's wife. She supported his vision of a village where children could grow up safely, and she remained committed to protecting that legacy after Hashirama's death. Hashirama's greatest regret, as he told her, was failing to preserve his bond with Madara Uchiha. 22 23

Following the war, Mito recognized that Konoha's alienation of the Uchiha Clan threatened the village's future. She publicly adopted the orphaned Hoshiryu Uchiha both to give him a home and to signal that the Uchiha were members of the village who should be accepted. 8 12 22
