The arc ended with Itachi testing Obito’s Rinnegan in battle and Obito rushing to the Mountain Graveyard.

• Shamu negotiated with Ōnoki for the Hidden Stone Village to avoid attacking the Cloud Village in exchange for Deidara’s return, then helped the Uchiha capture Scorpion and Deidara.
• Yoya confessed his feelings to Yugito, but she misunderstood his later explanation that he wanted her as a sparring partner and beat him unconscious.

• Shamu freed Naruto from Asura’s Chakra, challenged Hagoromo Otsutsuki’s reasoning, and showed Kurama a vision of Naruto’s harsh predetermined life.
• Nagato revived Yahiko, and he and Konan joined Shamu’s faction while Shamu investigated the missing Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and White Zetsu in Konoha.
• Shamu coordinated with the villages and warned them that Obito might steal corpses and target Jinchuriki as he prepared for a possible assault on Konoha.
• Obito and Yomi released Moryo, while Shamu confronted the Withered Star God and used a transformed Dead Demon Consuming Seal against the Planetary Consciousness.
