Background / History

Bronya attends St. Freya alongside Kiana and Raiden Mei. When Wendy begins teaching combat training, Bronya is struck by Wendy's resemblance to her younger sister, Seele. Her past as an assassin gives her experience reading micro-expressions, allowing her to notice the guilt behind Chen Ran's apparently affectionate behavior toward Wendy. She attempts to warn Wendy that Chen Ran is a liar, but Wendy rejects the warning; after learning more about the situation, Bronya concludes she was mistaken and intends to apologize to him. 19 20 24

During the Changkong City scenario, Bronya serves as Cocolia's newly appointed assistant at ME Company. Ordered to eliminate Chen Ran's group as securely as possible, she confronts them with the Heavy Onslaught Rabbit and later escapes amid the battle with the facility's Titans. 36 37

Bronya subsequently pursues Chen Ran after discovering his intrusion into ME Company's data. Her attempt to investigate his Schicksal connection becomes a high-speed chase, ending when Chen Ran traps her with a false tsunami and captures her. Exposure to cold while soaked leaves her feverish; Chen Ran takes her to a clinic and brings her to Raiden Mei's residence. 46 47

When Chen Ran accesses the emotional-processing chip in her brain, Bronya learns that Cocolia can override her consciousness through it. The discovery shatters her faith in the woman she called Mother. Chen Ran remains with her through the night, and Bronya gradually re-engages with others by playing video games and eventually falling asleep against him. 48 50
