Luffy's Observation Haki didn't even have time to warn him. It was as though an immensely heavy hammer had smashed into him, and a huge lump instantly rose on his head, towering like Mount Fuji and billowing steam.
"Aaaahhh-it hurts, it hurts, it hurts!!!"
Luffy clutched his head with both hands, tears streaming down his face as he rolled wildly across the floor.
"You single-celled idiot who only thinks about eating!!!"
Nami looked like an enraged lioness, her eyes turning into terrifying inverted triangles and her mouth full of shark teeth gleaming coldly.
Still holding the pose of her iron-fisted punch, she radiated a murderous aura that rivaled the Four Emperors. She pointed at Luffy, who was still rolling on the floor, and shrieked hysterically:
"Are your eyes just there for decoration?!"
"Couldn't you tell that was the last bit of rice in Tama's home?!"
"You bastard! You ate every last grain yourself, then had the nerve to ask for another bowl?!"
Luffy sat up pitifully, holding the enormous lump that threatened to burst through his straw hat. Tears clung to the corners of his eyes as he muttered without much conviction:
"I... how was I supposed to know that was the last of the rice...? It tasted so good, I couldn't help myself..."
Watching the uproar from the side, Ronan shook his head helplessly. A trace of sympathy for Tama flickered through his deep eyes as he spoke calmly, his voice carrying a reassuring strength:
"Let it go, Nami."
"There are plenty of birds and beasts in
