Arc 17The Curse and the Hallows

Jon tried to save Astoria from her Blood Curse by making a Horcrux, but Dumbledore sacrificed himself to bind the curse so Jon could destroy it. Jon then used the Deathly Hallows to bring Dumbledore back, took his place at Hogwarts in disguise, and left the story amid new dangers involving Draco Malfoy and the Death Eaters.

  • Jon joined the Aurors’ assault on the giants’ Isle of Man lair and captured a female giant to use in Astoria’s Horcrux ritual.

Jon traveled between Hogwarts and Durmstrang while helping Astoria reunite with her mother and arranging Lucius Malfoy’s escape from Azkaban. At Slughorn’s Christmas banquet, Kristoff warned Daphne of coming unrest, then an explosion struck Hogwarts and Winston Vance attacked Slughorn.

  • Jon disguised himself as Grindelwald to meet Vinda Rosier and his followers at Durmstrang, then returned to Hogwarts, where Hermione discovered his identity and Astoria asked her to keep it secret.

After Grindelwald’s staged attack and Draco’s secret work on the Vanishing Cabinet, Jon Hart prepared Hogwarts for Voldemort’s assault. As the Death Eaters attacked the castle, Jon led a group to capture Bellatrix Lestrange and search for Hufflepuff’s golden cup.

  • Winston Vance attacked Hogwarts with Fiendfyre, and Dumbledore returned to help contain the flames while Jon used the chaos to make the attack appear to be Grindelwald’s escape.
