Arc 13The Menak Invasion

As the Menak Necrons awakened and declared war on the Orpheus Sector, Amara Prime mobilized its forces and faced a devastating invasion. The defenders drove into a Necron pyramid, where the Flesh Tearers killed its Overlord, who warned that twelve others were coming.

  • The Death Seekers and Claws of the Stars brought Kalam to a Tzeentch gathering, where his psychic outburst destroyed the cultists and the Death Seekers killed the sorcerer.

Seth’s surviving Flesh Tearers withdrew as Imperial forces destroyed the Necron pyramid, while Hurun recruited the Ogryn Players and built up the Claws of the Stars in the Maelstrom. After victories against Orks and Chaos, the story left the Death Seekers preparing to lure the Dark Eldar with a captured Daemonette.

  • Seth withdrew with exactly ninety-nine Flesh Tearers after the battle, while Krieg and the Death Seekers stayed behind to guard explosives that destroyed the Necron pyramid.
  • Huron brought three thousand Ogryn Players into the Claws of the Stars, where they opened a Necron bridge, defeated Ork raiders, and killed Warboss Grog.
  • Huron offered the Death Seekers a place as free allies and pursued his plan to expand the Claws of the Stars, while Cult of the Gear 007 gained control of a planet and made loyal Power Armour from Chaos armour.

The Death Seekers and Lamenters defended Rhea IV from the Dark Eldar, then uncovered a Chaos fleet moving toward Badab. Huron prepared an ambush, but Grendel’s Iron Warriors broke through to face the Death Seekers in a brutal boarding action.

  • [Ghost Face] used a captured Daemonette as bait to drive off Dark Eldar raiders from Rhea IV, then killed himself and the daemon with a Meltabomb.
  • Malakin Foros and Ego investigated Rhea IV for Genestealer infection, found none, and learned that Governor Blackwood had restored order after the Dark Eldar attack.
  • Vilar assembled a Dark Eldar assault force, but the Lamenters and Death Seekers joined forces to defend Rhea IV and evacuate its civilians.

  • Grendel halted the Iron Warriors’ retreat after Akash’s recording mocked them, and the Death Seekers helped the Executioners defeat them before earning medals and a place in the Claws of the Stars’ roll of honour.
  • Typhus’s Death Guard boarded the Imperial fleet, and the Death Seekers resisted their poisons until Typhus captured survivors and tried to convert them to Nurgle.
