Gu Realm

The Gu Clan resides within the Gu Realm, while Gu Saint City serves as its external entrance and regional center. Most factions across the Eastern Region are Gu Clan subsidiaries, treating the clan’s name as protection in the region. Only families that have made major contributions may enter an ancient clan’s small world. 12 158

History

The Gu Clan rose to become the leading Ancient Clan after the Xiao Clan’s decline. Gu Clan elders state that their clan seized the opportunities left behind following Xiao Xuan’s death, while the Xiao Clan eventually withdrew to the Northwest Continent. 7

At the Lei Clan Grand Ceremony, the Gu Clan is recognized as the strongest of the Ancient Clans. Its younger generation is led by Gu Qingyang, with Gu Yao, Gu Hua, Gu Xing, and Gu Zhen also present. Gu Qingyang is regarded as one of the clan’s leading young talents, surpassed in bloodline only by Gu Xun’er. 6 7

The clan’s long-running rivalry with the Lei Clan worsens after Gu Yuan confronts the Lei Clan over Gu Xun’er. Several Gu Clan elders advocate war and dismiss the Lei Clan as weak, but Gu Yuan restrains them after recognizing Lei Ying’s advancement and the Lei Clan’s growing support. Gu Xian is subsequently sent to negotiate and offer amends. 129 130 131

Gu Xun’er later awakens a God Grade Bloodline during the Gu Clan’s coming-of-age ceremony. The Gu Clan hosts the opening of the Heavenly Tomb, where it receives five training places while the Lei Clan receives three. 161

After the Spirit Clan’s destruction and the exposure of Soul Clan spies, Gu Dao confronts Soul Clan representatives inside the Gu Realm. Gu Yuan then hosts the leaders of the Lei, Flame, Yao, and Stone Clans, forming the Five Clan Alliance against the Soul Clan with the Gu Clan as its leading power. 170 171

The Gu Clan nearly enters open war with the Lei Clan after Lei Dong acquires the Golden Emperor Sky Burning Flame through an agreement with Gu Xun’er. Gu Yuan mobilizes the Black Annihilation Army, but the confrontation ends without battle when the Gu Clan withdraws. 246 247 248

When the Lei Clan offers the Xiao Clan Ancient Jade, the Gu Clan recognizes that accepting it would redirect Soul Clan pressure toward the Gu Realm. Gu Yuan accepts nevertheless, in exchange for allowing Lei Dong to cultivate in the Heavenly Tomb. 255 257 258

The Gu Clan later faces an alliance led by the Yao Clan and the East Flower Immortal Sect. Gu Yuan initially prepares to evacuate the clan’s best younger talents and make a final stand, but a marriage alliance with the Lei Clan changes the balance of power. Gu Yuan allies with the Lei Clan against the Yao Clan and the Eastern Faction. 338 345

While Gu Yuan pursues the Yao Clan, the Soul Clan attacks the Gu Realm in his absence. The clan is devastated, though the Ancient Jade is safe because it had been sent away with Gu Xun’er. After suffering major losses among its younger generation, Gu Yuan seals the Gu Realm and returns the Ancient Jade to the Lei Clan. 356 365
