Background / History

Lei Ying leads the Lei Clan and is the father of Lei Dong. During Lei Dong's absence at Ancient Dragon Island, Lei Ying handled the clan's miscellaneous affairs after Lei Dong returned them to him. 60

He later entered seclusion and emerged roughly half a year later, releasing an oppressive aura felt throughout the Lei Clan. The elders assembled at his seclusion site, and Lei Ying expressed satisfaction with Lei Dong's management of clan affairs. 74

Before the Lei Clan Coming of Age Ceremony, Lei Ying disclosed to Gu Yuan that he had reached the late stage of the Nine Star Dou Sheng realm and proposed a spar. 78 His clash with Gu Yuan demonstrated that he could contend with a peak Nine Star Dou Sheng, aided by the Nine Profound Golden Lightning. 79

Personality

Lei Ying is protective of the Lei Clan and willing to confront vastly dangerous opponents rather than submit. When Void Swallowing Flame demanded the Lei Clan join the Soul Clan, Lei Ying refused despite the threat to his clan. 174

He can be impulsive when the clan's interests are directly threatened, as seen when he intended to immediately pursue the Soul Clan after its theft of the Lei Clan's Ancient Jade. He ultimately accepted Lei Dong's argument that a reckless pursuit would endanger the clan. 210

When Void Swallowing Flame tried to force the Lei Clan into submission, Lei Ying chose battle. He endured a combined assault by several high-level Soul Clan experts, held the line until the Gate of Silent Demise failed, and injured Void Swallowing Flame with his final strength. 174

Theft of the Ancient Jade

After the Soul Clan stole the Lei Clan's Ancient Jade, Lei Ying initially prepared an immediate pursuit. Lei Dong persuaded him that the risk to the Lei Clan outweighed the value of impulsive retaliation, and Lei Ying relented. 210
