Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!
Obito rapidly formed hand seals, gathering Chakra from all over his body into his mouth. He completed the Nature Transformation and Form Transformation at top speed, then breathed out a fiercely burning flame dragon that charged straight at Uchiha Tekka.
Uchiha Tekka had grown increasingly shocked during his earlier close-quarters fight with Obito.
He had never expected Obito to have improved so much after just one break. Compared to Third Grade, he had made enormous progress.
Seeing Obito form hand seals to use Ninjutsu, Uchiha Tekka immediately began forming seals as well, preparing to clash with Obito head-on with Ninjutsu. He refused to believe that Obito's taijutsu had improved so much while his Ninjutsu had improved too.
He refused to believe he would lose to Obito in a Ninjutsu clash.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique! Uchiha Tekka unleashed his Chakra and blew out a fireball as tall as a person toward Obito.
On one side was a vicious flame dragon with fangs bared; on the other was a blazing fireball brimming with momentum. The two Ninjutsu were about to collide.
"I'm so jealous of them. They've already learned offensive Ninjutsu."
Many of the watching students were envious. Some of them had not even mastered the Three Basic Jutsu yet, much less had the chance or means to learn additional Ninjutsu.
"No, you call that a dead last?" Students from other classes were astonished. They had come to watch Uchiha Tekka's strength, only to discover that Obito could use such a convincing Fire Release Ninjutsu.
How could someone at that level be called a dead last? He was more like an honor student.
"Still, I think Uchiha Tekka is a little stronger. His fireball looks much bigger than Uchiha Obito's flame dragon," someone commented.
He felt that in a Ninjutsu clash, the larger-looking Great Fireball would definitely win.
"As expected of the Uchiha. I never thought this Obito had been hiding so much. Even if he's not as strong as Uchiha Tekka, with this level of ability, he could still hope to take first in my class. It's just a shame his theory grades are so poor." Kimura Sanjin sighed as he scored the two of them.
Students from those great ninja clans really were different. Back when he was a student, he had been thrilled just to master the Three Basic Jutsu.
Based on Obito's taijutsu performance and the Ninjutsu he had displayed, even if he was eliminated in the first round, Kimura Sanjin would still give him a fairly high score.
Just as the two Ninjutsu were about to collide, the flame dragon suddenly rose upward. Instead of crashing into the Great Fireball, it continued lunging toward Uchiha Tekka.
Meanwhile, Obito swiftly began moving, dodging the Great Fireball while controlling the Great Dragon Fire Technique.
Uchiha Tekka had not expected Obito to fight so unscrupulously, refusing to continue their Ninjutsu clash. But there was nothing he could do in the moment; the Great Fireball could not turn.
Seeing the flame dragon continuously close in, Uchiha Tekka tried to dodge, only to realize it was already too late. He could only grit his teeth and take the attack head-on, bracing himself to be injured.
At that moment, Mu Yue, who had long been prepared, made his move. He used the Body Flicker Technique to appear beside Uchiha Tekka, carried him out of the combat area, and set him down.
"Thank you, Sensei." Uchiha Tekka thanked Mu Yue. Without Mu Yue stepping in, getting injured would have been unavoidable.
Mu Yue nodded, then announced the result of the battle.
"The first match goes to Uchiha Obito."
Some of the watching students had not even processed what had happened. The situation had changed too drastically in that instant.
They had been preparing to watch a Fire Release showdown, only for Obito to pull off a tricky move and end the battle immediately.
If the teacher had not intervened, Uchiha Tekka might have been injured.
"This Uchiha Obito can't be underestimated." One of the watching students looked at Obito warily.
Uchiha Tekka's person-sized fireball did indeed look imposing, but under normal circumstances, it was not easy to hit someone with it.
Obito's Great Dragon Fire Technique was different. Although it did not have a large attack range, it was extremely flexible and more likely to hit an opponent.
"Nice one, Obito!" Nohara Rin congratulated Obito with a delighted expression.
She was sincerely happy for Obito. He had defeated Uchiha Tekka head-on in the Practical Exam, so even if his theory grades were poor, no one would attach the title of dead last to him again.
In the end, ninjas still had to speak through strength.
As soon as Obito walked over, he heard Nohara Rin's praise. A blissful smile instantly spread across his face as he said proudly,
"Hehe, see? I told you there wouldn't be a problem."
At that moment, Obito felt incredibly grateful to Mu Yue.
He knew what had caused all these changes. It was because he had become Mu Yue's disciple and received Mu Yue's careful guidance every day.
If it had been the old him, Uchiha Tekka would probably have beaten him senseless with a few punches during the taijutsu exchange alone.
Disciple Obito Uchiha's Trust Level has increased. Current Trust Level: 3
While Mu Yue was reading out the exam roster, the system displayed a message.
He glanced at Obito. At the moment, Obito was grinning as he chatted with Nohara Rin about something.
Looks like being love-struck isn't entirely without benefits, Mu Yue thought.
Trust Levels were extremely difficult to raise. Even a single level brought a tremendous increase, directly doubling the gains and strengthening the effects of Teaching Disciple Returns Reward.
The reason Disciple Cultivation Feedback to Master had not returned much Chakra before was because Shisui and the others had not yet reached the stage where their strength would grow rapidly.
Once they reached that stage, if Shisui gained ten thousand Chakra, then at one higher Trust Level, Mu Yue would gain an additional ten thousand Chakra.
Mu Yue had expected that having one disciple reach Trust Level 3 within a semester would be enough.
Obito reaching Level 3 in just one month was an unexpected gain.
The following battles were not as intense as the first. There were basically no situations where the teachers needed to step in, so Mu Yue sat in his chair, scoring the students based on their performances while chatting intermittently with Kimura Sanjin.
If he had not needed to proctor the exam, Mu Yue would have wanted to wander around and use Appraisal to see whether he had missed any geniuses.
He had four disciple slots, and only three were currently occupied. One was still vacant.
Since he did not know whether he could increase the number of disciple slots, Mu Yue did not intend to use that spot on anyone with potential below S.
The higher his disciple limit, the more rewards he could obtain in the future.
Konoha had many geniuses, and the ninja world was vast. There was no need to rush to fill every slot. One additional disciple would not bring much improvement in the short term anyway.
Mu Yue opened the panel and checked his attributes.
Name: Hanyu Muyue Age: 18 Chakra: 5300 Skills: Water Release: Water Severing Wave, Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique, Water Release: Water Formation Wall, Wind Release: Pressure Damage... Evaluation: You have mastered numerous Ninjutsu, including many advanced Ninjutsu. This allows you to handle all kinds of situations. Ordinary jonin are no match for you.
In truth, his rate of improvement was fairly fast. In one month, he had gained a thousand Chakra, and his Ninjutsu had gone from only two techniques to dozens, including powerful Ninjutsu such as Water Severing Wave. Judging from the panel alone, he could crush the version of himself who had just transmigrated.
The morning passed, and the first two rounds of battles quickly came to an end.
However, Might Guy was unable to prove himself as Obito had, because his opponents had all been rather ordinary. Although Might Guy defeated them cleanly and decisively, it was not enough to completely overturn everyone's impression of him.
But Mu Yue knew it was only a matter of time. The Practical Exam within the class would end that afternoon, and then the two sides would determine the first place in the class.
