At a time like this, it was obvious that He-El had an enormous conspiracy in motion and that they needed to cooperate with complete sincerity. Therefore, he had to tell them everything openly and honestly.
Any concealment would create divisions between them. Thor could not imagine what consequences that might bring.
Even if they worked together sincerely, they might not be able to defeat He-El. If He-El discovered that they were investigating him, they might vanish like Nick Fury.
