Background

Sasuke is the surviving Uchiha of his world after the clan’s annihilation. He believes his elder brother, Itachi, murdered their parents and clansmen, and shapes his life around gaining enough strength to take revenge. He awakened his One-Tomoe Sharingan at seven, but initially regards his slow advancement as proof of talent rather than understanding how far the Sharingan can develop. 9 15 18

His first contact with the Empire’s explorers leaves him shaken. Obito’s careless questions about Fugaku and Itachi provoke Sasuke into attacking, while the sight of Obito and Kakashi freely using the Mangekyo makes him question his own bloodline and potential. Obito later offers to make him a disciple and teach him Empire techniques; Sasuke accepts despite Kakashi’s warning. 9 12 20

Obito’s training uses genjutsu to force emotional stimulation and accelerate Sasuke’s Sharingan. The process strengthens him but damages his grasp on reality, causing him to attack the Empire’s Itachi while trapped in memories of the massacre. 24 80

After reaching the Empire, Sasuke encounters an Uchiha community vastly different from the isolated and distrusted clan of his home world.
