Background / History

Naruto was born to Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. On the night of his birth, the Nine-Tails was released and controlled by an unknown person. Minato used the Dead Demon Consuming Seal and Eight Trigrams Sealing Style to contain it within Naruto, while both Minato and Kushina died protecting him and Konoha. Minato intended for Naruto to be recognized as the village's hero. 44

Instead, Naruto grew up isolated and mistreated because of the seal. Villagers called him the Demon Fox reincarnated, shunned him, and bullied him; Naruto resolved to become strong enough to earn respect and protect himself. 51 273
