History

First Life and Reincarnation

Wang Jixuan was once regarded as a once-in-ten-thousand-years cultivation genius. He spent roughly 120 of his 126 years in seclusion, neglecting his family, his master’s death, and potential relationships in pursuit of ascension. At the peak of Mahayana, he attempted the Heavenly Tribulation despite having less than a ten-percent chance of success and was killed by tribulation lightning. 1

A remnant of his soul survived and occupied the body of Mu Liang in an apocalyptic world dominated by Blade Beasts, psionicists, fortified cities, and advanced machinery. He began rebuilding his cultivation from the lowest levels while adapting Daoist methods to modern weapons, Crystal Cores, armor, and mechanical support. 1 8 21

Apocalypse and Earth

To hide his identity, Wang Jixuan assumed the name Mu Liang, later using the civilian identity Wang Zheng. Under this cover, he worked as a mechanic in Ling Tong’s logistics team while secretly cultivating and gathering Blade Beast materials. 24 3

His growing strength made him a central figure in humanity’s struggle against Blade Beasts, rogue psionicists, the Psionic Capital, and Spiritual Practitioners. He trained combatants in cultivation, sword arrays, formations, Buddhist methods, and the weaknesses of Blade Beast souls. 159 199

After regaining memories and power associated with his previous lives, he defeated Black Obsidian and Hei Yao, exterminated all Pillar-Class Blade Beasts on Earth, and eliminated most King-Class and Super King-Class Blade Beasts. He then withdrew to heal, leaving Ling Tong and Fu Jian instructions for Earth’s future defense and development. 404

Previous Lives and Ascension

Wang Jixuan’s second life, San Jie Lang Lang Zi, was a far more uninhibited cultivator who spent over six thousand years preparing for a second Heavenly Tribulation. Despite possessing immense magic power and a perfected Dao foundation, San Jie Lang Lang Zi also failed to ascend, leaving Wang Jixuan uncertain whether ascension itself had been approached incorrectly. 393

He later rebuilt his Dao Body, refined the Sea of Vengeful Souls, integrated memories from his prior lives, and prepared for another ascent. His successful entry into the Immortal Realm was obstructed by repeated Heavenly Punishments, which appeared specifically intended to prevent him from becoming an immortal. 409 528

Immortal Realm

After ascending, Wang Jixuan accepted Bai Gu of the Moon God Palace as a master and agreed to assist him against the Beast God Palace and Dark God Palace. 529

He later became a disciple of the Nine Spirits Sword Venerable, Jian Jiu, after climbing the Cloud Ladder and challenging him. Jian Jiu destroyed Wang Jixuan’s Moonlight Sword in a single strike, then gave him a replacement sword containing the Divine Wood Spirit Xiao Sang. 560

As a Sword God Palace disciple, Wang Jixuan developed the Human King Sacred Body and multiple Supreme Sword Intents while fighting the Dark Cult, the Heavenly Dao, and the Hundred Races. His rise culminated in the liberation campaign for the Immortal Realm, where he led mechanical forces and Human Race allies against Brahma and the Heavenly Dao Will. 595 656 657

Appearance

Wang Jixuan commonly presents himself as a composed young Daoist, though he frequently changes his appearance, clothing, aura, and even apparent age to preserve cover identities. His cultivation and repeated body reconstruction have caused his current features to increasingly resemble those of his original life. 24 500

  • Often wears blue, indigo, or traditional Daoist robes with a hairpin and flowing ribbon. 150
  • Regrows and wears long hair when acting openly as a cultivator. 559
  • Uses casual mechanic clothing—often a stained white shirt, black work pants, and running shoes—while posing as Wang Zheng. 101
  • Wears the silver-white X Armor during high-risk operations in the apocalypse. 108
  • Can use transformation spells, illusion techniques, Simulation Masks, and aura alteration to disguise himself. 24 560

Personality

Wang Jixuan is highly disciplined, cautious, and relentlessly focused on cultivation. His first life was defined by extreme detachment from worldly attachments; after reincarnation, he consciously tries to experience ordinary life, relationships, and emotions rather than repeating that failure. 1 359

He is pragmatic rather than conventionally heroic. He admits that his initial goal is usually to live comfortably and become stronger, but hostile forces repeatedly force him into protecting humanity and confronting greater threats. 531

Despite his caution, he is fiercely loyal to people he recognizes as friends, comrades, disciples, or allies. He repeatedly risks himself for Ling Tong, Peony, his students, and the Human Race, even when stronger and safer options are available. 453 638

Wang Jixuan is also theatrical and enjoys deception. He carefully performs the role of an ordinary mechanic, a righteous cultivator, or an untouchable expert as circumstances require, often combining acting, formations, spiritual sense, and Peony’s surveillance analysis. 101 617
