Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| E-Class | 42 | Lowest documented result of Psionic Infusion; many surviving subjects have little or no combat capability. |
| D-Class | 77 | Qualifies a Psionicist to enter the Psionic Capital as an ordinary citizen. |
| C-Class | 42 | Producing one C-Class Psionicist requires an average sacrifice of roughly 500 infusion “materials.” |
| B-Class | 271 | Psionicists created through replicated Infusion Walls in the war zones are generally limited to B-Class or below. |
| A-Class | 86 | Originally defined as possessing the power to change a local battlefield; only A-Class Psionicists and above may participate in advancement ceremonies. |
| S-Class | 86 159 | A-Class Psionicists who continually develop their abilities may gain a title and become S-Class. Awakening greatly improves how efficiently psionic power is used. |
| SS-Class | 86 191 | Pinnacle rank of Psionicists. The Six Elders reportedly reached this level by comprehensively devouring weaker Psionicists and compatible clones. |
Background / History
Psionicists are produced through Psionic Infusion, a process linked to the Spiritual Practitioner Civilization. Spiritual Practitioners possess core psionic-energy circuits, and their Infusion Walls can brand infused Psionicists and their duplicates as Spirit Slaves under the creator's mark. Blade Beasts were likewise created by imitating these core circuits. 196
The modern infusion system relies on selected human “materials” measured for mental activity, dark resistance, and individual will. Of every hundred materials, only around twenty survive infusion; roughly fifteen percent of those survivors gain psionic abilities, leaving only three or four Psionicists per hundred subjects under ideal conditions. 42
Many frontline Psionicists were formerly critically wounded soldiers sent into infusion pools near death. The Psionic Capital also uses replicated Infusion Walls to supply major war zones with Psionicists, while keeping these mass-produced combatants largely at B-Class or below. 271
Psionicists became a major political force after the Psionic Capital established systems governing Crystal Cores, infusion, and combatant deployment. Their organizations remain divided between groups such as the Dominion Faction and Naturalist Faction, while the Psionic Management Committee maintains authority through rank, research control, and coercive measures. 201 296
Classification
Ability Types
Psionicists are broadly divided into four functional types. 42
- Telekinetic Psionicists — manipulate objects, exert mental shock, and may form psionic shields.
- Body Enhancement Psionicists — reinforce physical strength, resilience, speed, and regeneration.
- Mutant Psionicists — possess specialized mutations or unconventional abilities.
- Balanced Psionicists — wield limited abilities across several areas rather than excelling in one.
Development Types
Wang Jixuan further distinguishes Psionicists by their understanding and use of psionic energy. 159
- Basic Psionicists — survive infusion and possess psionic energy but must discover its use independently.
- Experienced Psionicists — have spent decades developing methods to employ their energy effectively.
- Awakened Psionicists — attain a deeper command of psionic power, resembling the combat efficiency of figures such as Huo Rong.
Abilities & Skills
Psionic Energy Manipulation
Psionicists wield internal psionic energy for combat, movement, defense, and specialized powers. Their actual strength depends not only on energy quantity, but on their ability to control and apply it. 159
- Psionic energy can reinforce the body, propel movement, form shields, or create destructive effects.
- Telekinetic users can manipulate weapons and metal objects over an area. 277
- High-tier Psionicists can unleash wide-area shockwaves capable of annihilating large numbers of Blade Beasts. 332
- Exhausted Psionicists become highly vulnerable when unable to retreat from combat. 274
Mental Shock
Mental Shock is a common psionic attack, particularly among telekinetic users.
- It can disrupt or incapacitate opponents through concentrated psionic force.
- A C-Class physical-enhancement Psionicist's mental shock is markedly weaker than a cultivator's direct Spiritual Sense attack on the soul. 111
- Advanced armor and mechanical bodies may resist or ignore ordinary Mental Shock. 111 183
Awakening and Circuit Blessings
Spiritual Practitioners can alter or supplement Psionicists through psionic-energy circuits.
- New circuits may be integrated into a Psionicist's body as “blessings,” visibly raising their strength. 339
- Spiritual Practitioners can help Psionicists discover methods that improve their use of psionic power by more than one hundred percent. 161
- The Psionic Capital's rapid expansion in high-tier combat power was driven in part by these blessings, which pushed many Psionicists into A-Class, S-Class, or awakening. 321
Advancement Through Devouring
High-level advancement is tied to a brutal process derived from Spiritual Practitioner technology. 191
- Only A-Class Psionicists and above are eligible.
- The strong comprehensively devour the weak, including psionic energy and potentially other aspects of the target.
- Clones of A-Class and S-Class Psionicists are used as compatible experimental materials because matching genes improve the devouring process.
- This process enabled the Six Elders' advancement to SS-Class.
Limitations
- Psionic energy is often described as mottled and chaotic, unlike properly cultivated qi; crude use can damage the user's body and shorten their lifespan. 21
- A-Class Psionicists may suffer severe internal imbalance from infusion, with painful and potentially fatal consequences before middle age. 120
- Rank does not equal combat competence: Psionicists of equal energy levels can differ drastically depending on their mastery of their abilities. 159
- Many Psionicists are vulnerable to Blade Beast infiltration, including Brain-Eating Worm control and conversion into Pseudo Spirit Slaves. 151 334
- The Psionic Capital's use of replicated Infusion Walls deliberately limits many war-zone Psionicists to B-Class or lower. 271
Control Systems and Augmentation
- Infusion Walls — devices used to create Psionicists; Spiritual Practitioner versions can mark subjects as Spirit Slaves. 196
- Self-Destruct Chips — implanted into Psionicists during infusion and controlled through multiple authorities, including Psionic Capital representatives and military commanders. 271
- Crystal Cores — valuable psionic-energy sources; some Beast God Faction Psionicists contain Blade Beast Crystal Cores within their bodies. 178
- Psionic Energy Circuits — internal or implanted circuits that determine inheritance, awakening potential, allegiance, and power growth. 196 271
Factions
- Psionic Capital — the central Psionicist power, housing large numbers of hidden A-Class, S-Class, and possibly SS-Class combatants. 271
- Psionic Management Committee — governing body with specialized groups, including the Destruction Group led by the SS-Class Psionicist Heiming. 296
- Dominion Faction — Psionic Capital faction that uses figures such as Heiming to deter rivals. 296
- Naturalist Faction — a competing faction with several SS-Class Psionicists and representatives such as Dragonfly Aunt. 296
- Beast God Faction — Psionicists modified or influenced by Blade Beasts, often possessing abnormal recovery and destructive power. 183
- War-Zone Psionicists — military-aligned Psionicists, frequently created from wounded soldiers and assigned to frontline service. 271
Relationships
- Spiritual Practitioners — creators and former masters; their core circuits, Infusion Walls, and blessings shape Psionicist origins and advancement. 196 339
- Blade Beasts — principal battlefield enemies, though some Psionicists are infiltrated, modified, or allied with them through the Beast God Faction. 151 183
- Psionic Capital — primary political center and source of Psionicist governance, research, and high-tier combatants. 86 296
- 13th Institute — conducts infusion, cloning, awakening, and psionic research; its methods treat human subjects as expendable materials. 42 175
- Human Military — relies on Psionicists as frontline assets but maintains control through command structures and self-destruct chips. 22 271
