History
Reno was a college graduate who dreamed of acquiring America before being killed by a dump truck and transmigrating into the Pirate World. Initially a bottom-tier weakling, he awakened the Subdue Beauties System and received a newbie package that rapidly elevated his strength. 2
He first encountered Nami while she was stealing treasure from pirate ships. After overpowering her and taking the ten million Beli haul into his System Warehouse, he recruited her as the Reno Pirates’ first navigator. Her recruitment rewarded him with the Healing Fruit. 1 2 Reno subsequently recruited Makino, Kaya, Nojiko, Carmen, and other women while expanding his crew’s roles and combat strength. 5 16 22 60
In East Blue, Reno defeated Kuro, oversaw Arlong’s fall through Nami’s newly granted Weather-Weather Fruit, and defeated Hawk Eyes in a duel at Baratie. Hawk Eyes later invited him to meet again in the New World. 8 12 15 22
After entering the Grand Line, Reno continued building his crew, aided Robin’s search for historical records, and openly opposed Marines and major pirate powers. He fought Aokiji, then later confronted Garp and Kizaru simultaneously, revealing lightning-based attacks, Teleportation, advanced Haki, and the ability to fight multiple top-tier opponents. 57 64 67 69
Reno’s influence escalated after the Sabaody and Marineford incidents, where his actions brought his bounty to four billion Beli. He later established Dressrosa and Wano Country as territories, defeated Kaido’s forces, and subjugated the Calamities and Flying Six through Slave Marks. 93 152 181 187
Following BIGMOM’s death and the instability it caused, Reno broadened his ambition beyond recruiting women. He decided to replace Imu as World Master and unify the Great Sea to preserve peace. He recruited Vegapunk, York, Lilith, and Atlas, then used the Float-Float Fruit and Teleportation to relocate Egghead Island, Wano Country, and Nine Snake Island for strategic positioning. 216 217 218
Personality
Reno is confident, provocative, and highly conscious of his overwhelming strength. He routinely mocks powerful opponents—including Garp, Kizaru, and Kaido—and treats threats from Marines, Yonko crews, and the World Government as challenges rather than deterrents. 68 69 129 144
He is also ruthless toward enemies and perceived obstacles. Reno kills prisoners in Impel Down’s Infinite Hell, executes Foxy and Orochi, and shows little mercy toward the Charlotte Family Executives or the Beasts Pirates. 105 144 179 226
Despite this, Reno is protective of the women in his crew and invests heavily in their combat growth, equipment, and individual ambitions. He gives Nami the Weather-Weather Fruit so she can defeat Arlong herself, supports Robin’s search for Poneglyphs, and promises Vegapunk funding and protection for his research. 12 138 216
His original stated dream is to gather “beauties, lots and lots of beauties,” though this later expands into a stated objective of unifying the Great Sea and maintaining order. 22 216
