Background / History

Cull Obsidian was among the surviving Black Order members who knelt before Thanos after their side proved unable to match the Blood God. Thanos chose to prepare further rather than confront the Blood God immediately. 324

During a later battle, Cull confronted Electro of Watchmen Company. He initially attacked with an axe, but Electro's Thunder Giant form sent electricity through the weapon and into Cull's body, exposing even his bones. Electro then impaled him with a lightning spear; Cull survived, left the spear in place, and fled. 335

Before an ambush against Wang Bert's forces, Cull accepted alteration through Deviant genes to disguise himself as one of Ultron's generals. His axe was modified into a hammer. 584

Cull subsequently fought Captain Marvel in a destructive close-quarters battle. He claimed to have survived multiple timelines, while his version of the Black Order was noted to have killed their own counterparts several times. 586 Captain Marvel ultimately invoked Binary Form and destroyed him with a sustained energy beam. 590
