  • Jino used Clark’s vision to search the school and concluded that the impersonator was probably a student who had recently gained powers.
  • Jino and Clark checked the attendance list with the principal and narrowed the suspects to Marco, Rod, Jenny, and Tina.
  • Clark suggested Tina because she imitated Lana, and Lana joined Jino and Clark to visit her home.

  • Clark and Pete registered Dance Party applicants as students crowded around them for invitations.
  • A student mocked Julie for her weight, and she fled in tears after the crowd laughed at her.
  • Julie decided to lose weight, drank juice made from vegetables she picked from her garden, and woke the next morning noticeably thinner.
  • Lex declined Jino's invitation to the Dance Party, saying he planned to form an agricultural alliance to address the company's losses.
  • Julie asked Pete to be her dance partner after slimming down overnight, and Pete gave her an invitation.

Ch. 51Good Advice Falls on Deaf Ears

Jino and Chloe suspected Julie’s overnight weight loss was connected to the meteor shower, while Pete eagerly went with Julie to shop for a dress. The chapter ended with Julie suppressing a painful hunger and luring the boy who had mocked her toward the fitting room.

  • Jino told Clark and Chloe that Julie’s transformation was suspicious and warned Pete to keep his distance from her.

Ch. 53Panicked Pete

Pete’s date with Julie ended when her hunger triggered a transformation into a Bat Monster, which pursued him and Chloe in Clark’s SUV. As they fled, Pete tried to call Jino and Clark for help, while the monster closed in from the air.

  • Pete arrived at Julie’s house dressed for Jino’s Dance Party, but Julie felt a painful hunger and ran back inside, telling him to leave.

  • Jino dismissed the monster as a brainless beast and walked toward the overturned SUV.

Ch. 55A New Replication Card

Jino captured the Bat Monster alive and delivered it to Lex’s underground laboratory, where Lex planned to begin experiments soon. At school, Jino denied seeing Julie Moss after her father reported her missing, keeping her transformation secret.

  • Jino lifted the overturned SUV, then told Chloe and Pete to leave before he secured the Bat Monster with wooden stakes.
  • Jino called Lex, who arranged to have the live Bat Monster transported to Luthor Chemical Plant.
  • Lex examined the Bat Monster in the laboratory and said its capture would let him begin his research sooner.
  • Jino checked his system and revealed that he had earned enough points from interacting with Clark and Talia to obtain another Replication Card.
  • Two police officers asked Jino whether he had seen Julie Moss at his party, and he denied seeing her.
  • Jino decided Julie’s father should believe she was missing rather than learn that she had become a mindless Man-Bat.

Ch. 56Experiment

Jino left school to join Lex at a laboratory, where they activated a clone made from Clark’s DNA using electricity and Kryptonite. After the clone awoke in distress, Lex evacuated the scientists and sealed the laboratory, leaving Jino and Lex alone with it.

  • Lex called Jino to the factory, and Jino asked Chloe to get him excused from class before driving there.
  • Jino saw the clone labeled B-Zero in a tank and learned Lex planned to use electricity and Kryptonite to activate its abilities.
  • Lex began the experiment, and B-Zero awakened, struggled in the tank, and frightened the researchers.
  • Jino signaled that he was ready to handle the situation, and Lex ordered everyone to leave and sealed the laboratory with only Jino, Lex, and B-Zero inside.

Ch. 57Bizarro's Talent, Replicated Again!

Jino and Lex released Lex’s Bizarro-like experiment, and Jino gained Bizarro’s talent through his replication card. The chapter ended with Jino asking Lex for Kryptonite, while Lex warned him that it was dangerous.

  • Lex released the subject from the nutrient tank, shattering the glass and plunging the experimental facility into darkness.
  • Jino recognized that the frightened subject was unintelligent and approached him despite Lex’s warning.
  • Jino named the subject Bizarro, and Bizarro happily grabbed his hand as the replication card dissolved and granted Jino Bizarro’s talent.
  • Lex restored the lights and found Bizarro obediently following Jino.
  • Jino asked Lex for Kryptonite, and Lex warned him that it could seriously harm him.

Ch. 58Awakening, Freeze Ray

Jino tested whether copying Bizarro’s abilities had freed him from Kryptonite’s effects, then discovered that Kryptonite awakened a freezing ray in his left eye. After Jino accidentally froze much of Lex’s underground laboratory, Lex decided to keep Bizarro there and try to teach him language and restore his appearance.

  • Lex brought Kryptonite closer to Jino, who felt no weakness and realized copying Bizarro’s abilities had removed his Kryptonite restriction.
  • Jino held the Kryptonite and felt warmth as green veins spread up his arm toward his left eye.
  • Jino’s left eye began emitting a freezing ray, and he turned it away from Lex before freezing an experimental tank and much of the laboratory.
  • Lex excitedly asked Jino to cooperate with future experiments, and Jino agreed despite wondering why the freezing ray came from only one eye.
  • Bizarro called to Jino and Lex, and Lex decided to keep him in the laboratory while scientists taught him language and tried to restore his appearance.

Ch. 59A Little Story on a Rainy Night

Earl’s attempt to confront Lionel at LuthorCorp ended in Will’s death after Earl’s body began vibrating at extreme speed. Later, Jino experimented with his Freeze Ray and learned that a janitor had died at the headquarters, while Lex left the problem to Lionel.

  • Earl ran to LuthorCorp in the rain and begged his former coworker Will to let him see Lionel about his incurable disease.
  • Will refused to let Earl inside, and Earl’s body began vibrating until the glass entrance shattered.
  • Earl grabbed Will, and his violent shaking broke Will’s neck; Earl fled after realizing he had killed him.
  • Jino froze a glass of water with his Freeze Ray and reflected on how he had extended its attack range.
  • Lex told Jino that a janitor had died at LuthorCorp and said Lionel could deal with the media attention.

Ch. 60What Happened

Clark and Pete found Earl, who blamed LuthorCorp for his strange illness and sought help from Clark’s father. After Earl’s powers caused chaos at the hospital, Clark collapsed too, suspecting the illness was connected to Kryptonite and resolving to find Jino for answers.

  • Chloe took review materials to visit Jino while Pete went home with Clark to play video games.
  • Clark and Pete found a weakened Earl in the barn, where Earl said he had come to find Clark’s father and accused LuthorCorp of causing his illness.
  • Earl’s touch made Clark collapse, and an ambulance took Earl to the hospital.
  • Police told Clark and Pete that Earl was suspected of murdering a LuthorCorp janitor.
  • Earl convulsed in the hospital, threw two officers aside, and collapsed after Clark restrained him, causing Clark to collapse as well.
