Background / History
Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin. His initial Martial Soul awakened as Blue Silver Grass with Innate Full Soul Power; Master identified this as evidence of Twin Martial Souls and accepted Tang San as his disciple after Tang San formally kowtowed to him 5 7.
At Nuoding Academy, Tang San met Xiao Wu and Mo Bai. He and Mo Bai shared the unusual combination of Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power, creating an enduring rivalry. Tang San successfully obtained his first Spirit Ring from a Four-Hundred-Year Mandala Snake and became a Spirit Master under Master's guidance 7 11 14.
Tang San later trained and fought with Shrek Academy. By the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament, he had gained a Ten Thousand Year Fourth Spirit Ring and the Eight Spider Lances. His clash with Mo Bai exposed Xiao Wu's soul within Mo Bai's Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Ring; Tang San concluded that Mo Bai had killed Xiao Wu. Tang Hao rescued him from the tournament, but Tang San permanently lost his left eye during the escape 92 111 119 123.
Driven by hatred, Tang San cultivated under Tang Hao, mastering the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, Great Sumeru Hammer, and Explode Ring technique. He then awakened Ah Yin's inherited Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, transforming his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul and altering his appearance 131 136 145.
After surviving Slaughter City and Hell Road, Tang San spent a year with Tang Yuehua to suppress the killing intent accumulated there. He later reunited with Tang Hao and Ah Yin, moved Ah Yin to the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, and absorbed her right-leg Soul Bone 146 147.
Appearance
Tang San's appearance changed after his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline awakened. He is recognizable by his long blue hair and his missing left eye, which he commonly conceals behind a mask 145 153.
- Long blue hair following his second Martial Soul awakening 153
- Hollow left eye socket after Mo Bai pierced and took his left eye 123 145
- Blue Silver Emperor manifests with distinctive golden patterns 147 153
Personality
Tang San is observant and cautious. As a child, he tested Master's intentions before accepting him as a teacher, choosing to submit only after recognizing Master's knowledge and sincerity 5.
He is intensely competitive toward Mo Bai and takes pride in his own progress, particularly his Spirit Ring achievements and Tang Sect techniques 14 92. Xiao Wu's apparent death, his injury, and his conflicts with Spirit Hall transformed that rivalry into a deeply personal vendetta 119 125.
Slaughter City magnified Tang San's negative emotions and made him more vicious in battle. Although he later learned to suppress his killing intent and control Divine Slaughter's Domain, his desire to kill Mo Bai remained central to his actions 146 147 151.
