Background / History

Xiao Wu entered Nuoding Academy as a Work-Study Student and was assigned to Seventh Dormitory. She immediately joined the contest for dormitory leadership, defeating Tang San with her Soft Skill and becoming the dormitory boss. The other students subsequently addressed her as “Boss,” a title she later replaced with “Sister Xiao Wu.” 7 13

She concealed her origins, claiming to come from Panlong Village and that her parents were dead. Her evasive answers, unusually rapid cultivation, and ability to obtain Spirit Rings without publicly leaving the academy drew Mo Bai’s suspicion. 9 13 18

While studying at Shrek Academy, Xiao Wu learned that Mo Bai had joined Spirit Hall and become Bibi Dong’s disciple. Because Bibi Dong had killed her mother and could identify her true nature, Xiao Wu refused to risk attending the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament in Spirit City. She left Shrek without saying goodbye and returned toward the Star Dou Forest. 58 59

Bibi Dong later discovered Xiao Wu in the Star Dou Forest and identified her as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. Unable to escape and determined to deny Bibi Dong her Spirit Ring and Spirit Bone, Xiao Wu initiated a Sacrifice for Mo Bai. She first raised his Soul Power from Level 45 to Level 50, allowing him to receive her Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Ring and right-arm Spirit Bone. 81 82

Although her original body perished, Xiao Wu’s soul remained intact inside Mo Bai’s Fifth Spirit Ring. She and Mo Bai learn that her revival requires him to become a Level 100 god; he promises to achieve this and restore her. 83 84 After Mo Bai ultimately acquires enough Faith Power, he revives both Xiao Wu and her mother. 244
