Background / History

Bibi Dong was formerly the disciple of Qian Xunji, the Pope of Martial Soul Hall. Qian Xunji sexually assaulted her, forced her to bear his child, and threatened Yu Xiaogang's life to prevent her from taking her own life. Her resentment remained dormant until she killed Qian Xunji and devoured his soul, succeeding him as Pope. 3

Her daughter, Qian Renxue, became both an object of love and hatred to her. Unable to reconcile these feelings, Bibi Dong treated Qian Renxue coldly and sent her to the Heaven Dou Empire as a spy. Isolated afterward, she became increasingly unstable under the influence of the Rakshasa God inheritance. 4

Soon after becoming Pope, Bibi Dong encountered the infant Yun Chuan by chance in Martial Soul Hall. Her growing attachment to him became a stabilizing emotional connection, with Yun Chuan deliberately accepting the role of her “spiritual anchor.” 3 4
