Background / History

The Tree God is the ancient World Tree of Jiquan Star, rooted within the Divine Wood Forest. He claims that his crown reaches another world; control of the World Tree therefore means control of a passage between worlds, as well as access to its bloodline-purifying potential. This makes him a target not only for elves, but also for humans, dwarves, dragons, orcs, and other races 679.

His true body cannot readily leave Jiquan Star. Information from beyond the planet usually reaches him only through rare visitors, since the Heaven Ascension Path has long been damaged and arrivals occur only once every tens of thousands of years 761.

He created the Wood Elves, whose later unions with four other races produced the Five Great Elf Ancestors 774. For much of his existence, he concealed his true strength rather than bear fruit, fearing that ancient cultivators would target him if his innate potential became known 685 694.

The Tree God recognized Gou Sen's Titan Bloodline and had Zhen Lanyue receive Lu Jun's group with Sunlight Divine Brew and provide the Five Elements Scripture. Zhen Lanyue concluded that the Tree God had been waiting for people connected to the Titan Bloodline and Tianxuan Star 669.

He is deeply protective of the Wood Elves. When the Five Ancestors' battle shockwaves killed Wood Elves in the Divine Wood Forest, his restrained demeanor gave way to fury and he expanded his protection over the forest 689 690.

As an instructor, he is demanding but constructive. He raises the difficulty of training, identifies weaknesses in his students' defenses, and teaches them methods to resist Divine Soul suppression rather than merely overpowering them 774 775.
