He traveled toward Halibel’s territory with Nel, Pesche, Dondochakka, and Ulquiorra as Halibel faced two attacking Adjuchas.

Arc 1The Scroll and the Hollow

Asano Kiyoshi entered the Shin'o Spiritual Arts Academy, grew stronger under Yamamoto’s training, and became entangled in the Tsunayashiro Family’s plans. After killing a Hollow that had slain Bannai Daigo, he unlocked a new power while Soul Society’s political tensions continued to build.

  • Asano Kiyoshi advanced to Third Class Reiatsu, left Granny Hana in Rukongai’s Thirty-Seventh District, and joined the Shin'o Spiritual Arts Academy as Class A’s top student.

Arc 2Trial in North Rukongai

Asano Kiyoshi revealed his Shikai to Ikkaku, drawing the attention of Yamamoto and the Tsunayashiro Family, then faced Yamamoto’s dangerous trial in North Rukongai. He confronted the district’s brutal gangs and a Hollowfied Yingkou Hui, established a new order in the 79th District, and prepared to end his training.

  • Asano Kiyoshi fought Ikkaku, revealed Yellow Springs, and defeated him with Kido as the captains watched a secret recording.
  • Yamamoto ordered Asano Kiyoshi’s records concealed and sent him to North Rukongai to survive, kill his enemies and Hollows, and receive no protection.
  • Asano Kiyoshi encountered Rukia and Renji, gave food and Kido lessons to the children in their shelter, and continued west to hunt fugitives.

Arc 3The Royal Seal and the Trial

Asano Kiyoshi graduated after a deadly duel with Tsunayashiro Kojiro, then used the Great Spirit Book Gallery and his healing abilities while pursuing his goal of changing Soul Society. The Tsunayashiro Family later accused him of murder, and conflicting recordings left his trial unresolved.

  • Asano Kiyoshi defeated Tsunayashiro Kojiro in their graduation duel, then Byakuya Kuchiki named him the top graduate and granted him entry to the Great Spirit Book Gallery.

The arc left him traveling toward Halibel’s territory with Nel, Pesche, Dondochakka, and Ulquiorra as Halibel confronted two attacking Adjuchas.

  • Asano Kiyoshi agreed to join the Hueco Mundo Expedition Team in exchange for a public investigation of the Tsunayashiro Family, and Central 46 approved both demands.
  • Asano Kiyoshi entered Hueco Mundo with the expedition, where Maruya Naoto’s harsh leadership and repeated Hollow attacks left seven survivors under Kiyoshi’s command.
