Asano Kiyoshi defeated the conspirators in Soul Society, accepted the Captain-Commander position, and secretly entered the Wandenreich. After joining Cadice, Minina, and Bambi on their dangerous journey to Silver Frame City, he fought the Stern Ritter and faced Yhwach as the Sealed Quincy King awakened.

• Asano Kiyoshi defeated Azashiro Soya, spared him, and then killed the seven elderly nobles who had rebelled against Soul Society.
• Asano Kiyoshi treated the wounded and helped rebuild Soul Society before accepting the Captain-Commander position in a ceremony attended by friends and former enemies.
• Asano Kiyoshi entered the Wandenreich in secret, rescued Cadice from poisoned attackers, and traveled with her and Minina toward Silver Frame City.
• Asano Kiyoshi and the women survived ambushes on the road and deadly trials climbing Silver Frame City's wall, where Bambi joined them.
• Asano Kiyoshi left the women to proceed into the city, then killed Jerome Quizbatt and fought Driscoll Berci before Haschwalth identified him as a Special War Power.
• Asano Kiyoshi activated Bankai and battled the Stern Ritter, defeating several of them before Haschwalth rallied the group against him.
• Yhwach awakened and confronted Asano Kiyoshi, who summoned a wrathful ghost face with Great Stillness and caused one grain of sand to vanish from the futures Yhwach could see.

Asano Kiyoshi used his knowledge of a future invasion to prepare Soul Society and train its leaders against the Wandenreich. After challenging the Zero Division and meeting the Soul King, Kiyoshi agreed to stop Yhwach, while learning more about his own power and Hell’s growing threat.

• Asano Kiyoshi arrived in a future where the Stern Ritter were attacking Soul Society, then rallied the Shinigami with healing rain and helped Captain-Commander Yamamoto battle Yhwach.
• Asano Kiyoshi showed Urahara, the Visoreds, and the captains visions of the Quincy’s strength and the devastation awaiting Soul Society, then organized regular training to improve their chances.
• Asano Kiyoshi traveled to the Zero Division Palace to request help, where the Monk explained the role of Asauchi and admitted he could not perceive Kiyoshi’s Zanpakuto.
• Asano Kiyoshi challenged the Zero Division and defeated its members without using Bankai, then met the Soul King in his dwelling.
• The Soul King explained Yhwach’s origins and his own role in creating the three realms, and asked Asano Kiyoshi to stop Yhwach.
• Asano Kiyoshi agreed to the Soul King’s request after confirming he would not be bound to replace him, and learned that his Fullbring came from fragments of the Soul King’s organs and that Hell had developed its own hunger.
