"Across the Primordial Land, Innate Beings were as countless as brilliant stars. We beings were all born innate, naturally exceptional. Yet we were all born nourished by mountains, rivers, and the earth, with deep foundations and extraordinary origins.
"Now, we have forged an unprecedented path and created an unparalleled cultivation realm. As the pioneers of this path, all we possess is merely the word 'first.' Since that is so, why not replace that 'first' with 'immortal'?
"An 'immortal' is one who possesses the Dao. Those without the Dao can only be regarded as ordinary mortals. Immortals and mortals were as different as clouds and mud. All beings should pursue the supreme Great Dao, while we cultivated diligently within our Dao fields. These were not only the places of our birth, but also the cradles of our growth. How could we dare forget them?
"Thus, the word 'immortal' truly complements pioneers like us perfectly," Di Kun said leisurely, though he was actually observing Hongjun's reaction.
Di Kun's words stirred up a thousand waves like a stone cast into water. The gathered people began whispering among themselves and discussing it fervently. Hongjun, who had kept his eyes shut all this time, slowly opened them. A trace of shock flashed through his eyes, as though he found it astonishing that someone could propose the concept of "immortal."
After that fleeting shock, some confusion surfaced in Hongjun's eyes. He pondered inwardly. By all reason, only he should have known the concept of "immortal," since he had comprehended it from the Creation Jade Butterfly. Moreover, based on his understanding of everyone present, no one should have known this secret. So had this person merely guessed correctly by chance, or was there some other reason?
One had to know that the concept of "immortal" was not something that could be casually proposed. Hongjun had comprehended it from the Creation Jade Butterfly, and the Creation Jade Butterfly itself was an existence ordained by the Heavenly Dao. Now that the Heavenly Dao had yet to manifest and the Great Dao was managing things in its stead, Hongjun had his own calculations in wanting to propose "immortal."
His purpose was simple: he wanted to seize the rightful name of the world by proposing "immortal" and awaken the will of the Heavenly Dao ahead of time. Although the Heavenly Dao was still gestating and could not truly emerge into the world, doing so would at least strengthen his connection to it. It was also for the sake of his own plans.
Since Di Kun had already raised the matter, Hongjun naturally would not oppose it. After all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! If Hongjun failed to grasp it, or if he chose to oppose it as well, he would never again have the chance to bring it up. Unless he waited until the Heavenly Dao truly descended, but by then everything would be too late.
After all, since Di Kun had raised this idea, even though he had not explicitly expressed agreement, he had already claimed a certain degree of legitimacy. Thus, unless Hongjun was absolutely certain he could make Di Kun completely perish, it would be difficult to change this situation.
Furthermore, it would truly be too late to begin making plans only after the Heavenly Dao emerged. In this matter, one step behind meant falling behind at every step! Thus, Hongjun made a prompt decision and resolved to act immediately.
He used a fragment of the Jade of Creation to communicate with the Heavenly Dao, requesting that it release a faint trace of its aura to influence the Innate Gods and Demons present. At the same time, he spoke without hesitation. "Good!"
After saying this, Hongjun slowly closed his eyes and spoke no more. Yet he had not ceased acting. Secretly, he invoked the aura of the Heavenly Dao and spread it over this stretch of heaven and earth. As a result, the Innate Gods and Demons felt a mysterious message arise in their hearts: the future Heavenly Dao seemed to approve of the term "immortal." Thus, they ceased speaking and all said, "Good!"
They then began deducing how the realms should be divided. After hearing everyone agree, Di Kun said nothing more. He knew Hongjun could not possibly let this opportunity pass, and the division of realms had only just begun. Di Kun did not intend to snatch the initiative either. It was enough for him to claim a name, and his own plans would only begin at the very end. Now was not yet the time.
Not long after, Daoist of Creation slowly spoke. "The beginning of an immortal should be the Heavenly Immortal. A Heavenly Immortal begins by communicating with the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, borrowing the power of heaven and earth, with Mana flowing endlessly and ceaselessly." His voice was low and magnetic, as though it contained endless mysteries and wisdom.
Upon hearing this, everyone nodded slightly in agreement. No one raised any objection.
Then Yin Yang Daoist spoke as well. "After Heavenly Immortal, one should use Mana to nurture the divine soul and further communicate with heaven and earth. Only then may one comprehend the gate of all wonders and grasp the profoundly mysterious laws of heaven and earth. This realm may be called Mysterious Immortal." His words were like a clear spring flowing past everyone's ears, making them unable to help but lose themselves in them.
Finally, Five Elements Daoist rose to his feet and declared in a resonant voice, "Above Mysterious Immortal lies an even more profound realm: Golden Immortal. A Golden Immortal can wield Yin and Yang and creation, cycle the five elements, transform the power of heaven and earth for personal use, and do as they please, capable of all things." His voice was like a great bell, deafening as it stirred a wave of resonance within everyone's hearts.
Upon Inverted Mountain, Dao charm flowed slowly like a gentle stream, as though the entire world had been shrouded by this mysterious power. Nourished by this Dao charm, the deduction abilities of the Innate Gods and Demons greatly improved. Their thoughts became sharper, and their comprehension of the Dao grew ever deeper.
Time passed second by second. The gods and demons were immersed in exploring the Dao, unwilling to overlook even the slightest insight. At last, after some time, Daoist of Inversion slowly opened his eyes. His voice echoed through the mountains like a morning bell and evening drum. "Comprehend heaven and earth, cultivate Dao methods, walk the Great Dao—this is the beginning of the Dao. Whether cultivating the Great Dao of predecessors or the Great Dao of heaven and earth, so long as one steps onto the Dao path, one may become a Grand Unity Golden Immortal."
His words were like enlightenment poured directly into their minds, and the fog in the hearts of the gods and demons gradually dispersed. Yet at that moment, Hongjun's voice suddenly rang out. "Draw one step closer to heaven and earth, comprehend the Great Dao of predecessors, understand one's own direction, and step onto one's own Dao path—only then may one become a Great Luo Golden Immortal."
Hongjun's words were like lightning tearing across the night sky, instantly bringing clarity to the gods and demons. They finally understood the true meaning of the Great Luo Golden Immortal, and they also understood how their future cultivation paths should proceed.
Just as the gods and demons were all immersed in comprehending the realm of Great Luo Golden Immortal, Di Kun's voice suddenly sounded. "Daluo is the beginning of one's own Dao path. Create Dao methods, derive creation, pass down Dao lineages, form Dao fruits, integrate a Dao into oneself, become the master of a Dao. The beginning of a Dao is the Great Luo Dao Fruit Realm!"
Before Di Kun's words had faded, heaven and earth trembled, as though responding to his declaration. This tremor did not come from an external force, but from the resonance of the Dao itself. The gods and demons felt this powerful force, and an indescribable shock surged through their hearts.
If the realm of Great Luo Golden Immortal mentioned earlier was merely the realm they currently occupied, then they had only just stepped onto their own Dao paths. Even those reincarnated from Chaos Gods and Demons were no exception. Though their starting points in their previous lives had been extraordinarily high, and they had already mastered a Great Dao the moment they descended into the world, that had merely been instinct. Many Chaos Gods and Demons knew how to wield that Great Dao, yet did not understand the reasons behind it.
This was why, even after reincarnating and cultivating anew, these Chaos Gods and Demons could only proceed step by step in proper sequence. Moreover, because they had perished within this Primordial Wilderness world, their Great Daos had all been absorbed by the heavens and earth of the Primordial Wilderness. Thus, it was even more difficult for them to cultivate back to the realms they had possessed in their previous lives.
Furthermore, after reincarnating as Innate Gods and Demons, the Dao they bore appeared identical, but was in truth somewhat similar yet fundamentally different. As the saying went, a difference of a hair could lead to an error of a thousand miles. This was absolutely no joke. Therefore, they too had merely just set foot upon their own Dao paths.
However, the Great Luo Dao Fruit Realm Di Kun had mentioned just now was like lightning splitting the night sky, illuminating the road ahead for them. The existence of this realm undoubtedly pointed them toward a clear direction, like finding a lamp amid boundless darkness.
Without Di Kun's guidance, if they had relied solely on themselves to comprehend this realm, they would likely have needed to expend enormous amounts of time and effort, perhaps even becoming lost in endless exploration. After all, the Great Luo Dao Fruit Realm was so profound and unfathomable that truly understanding and attaining it was no easy matter.
For those who had originally been reincarnated Chaos Gods and Demons, Di Kun's words were even more enlightening. They suddenly understood that the realm they had possessed in their previous lives had been the Great Luo Dao Fruit Realm. This meant that before reincarnation, they had already been masters of a domain, wielding supreme and mysterious Dao.
This realization not only gave them a deeper understanding of their previous lives, but also made their comprehension of the Great Luo Dao Fruit Realm more thorough. Because they had personally experienced that realm before, they could more truly sense its mysteries and profundities.
