Hongjun first appears as an authority on cultivation realms, explaining the requirements for becoming a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal. His teachings clarify the path forward for gathered gods and demons. 14

Before his public rise, Hongjun becomes indebted to Di Kun because Di Kun proposed and advocated the Immortal Dao. This karmic debt prevents Hongjun from directly attacking Di Kun, forcing him to consider indirect means instead. 15

Hongjun cooperates with hidden Chaos Gods and Demons through a fragment of the Creation Jade Disk. Their joint plan for the Primordial Land is disrupted by the emergence of new races and the development of the starry sky—changes they cannot identify or reverse. 54 55
