Background / History

Far North and Failed Regeneration

The Snow Empress ruled the Far North as the foremost of its Three Great Heavenly Kings. After obtaining a Ten-Thousand-Year Snow Lotus, she decided to use it to regenerate into human form rather than face a heavenly tribulation she believed she could not survive 10.

Ling Mo stumbled upon her regeneration site while seeking an ice-attribute Soul Ring. Mistaking her cocoon for an ordinary Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast undergoing regeneration, he attacked with Black Abyss White Flower to obtain its Soul Bone. The attack ruined her transformation. Enraged, she retaliated with enough force to shatter his weapon and crush his internal organs 10.

After Ling Mo lost consciousness, Finality took control of his body, nullified the Snow Empress’s next attack, and destroyed her cocoon. Finality absorbed her Soul Ring and destroyed her Soul Bone. Neither Ling Mo nor the Snow Empress initially understood what had happened to the bone 10 12.

Life in the Stigmata Space

The Snow Empress regained consciousness within Ling Mo’s Stigmata Space, where she acquired almost all his memories from the Honkai World. These memories did not include his life in his original world. She could explain the memory transfer, but not why she had become connected to the Stigmata or how Ling Mo had survived her attack 11.

Their first conversation moved from teasing and suspicion to cooperation. Learning about Ling Mo’s past gave her respect for him, while he relaxed his guard after understanding her connection to his Stigmata. She frequently remained beneath its cherry blossom tree 11 40.

When Ice Empress recognized her aura in Ling Mo’s blue Soul Ring, the Snow Empress did not press Ling Mo to reveal their situation. She also witnessed his reunion with Fei Yu Maru and laughed at his unsuccessful attempts to explain their circumstances to the fox spirit 16 20 21.

Reconstruction in the *Seal of the Throne* World

The Snow Empress remained within the Stigmata Space after Ling Mo’s next transmigration. Over the following two years, she restrained him from provoking Finality into a fight he could not survive 29 38.

Finality eventually enhanced her strength and arranged for Ling Mo to give her a new body. Introduced to his Demon Hunter Squad as a ninth-tier, ninth-level Ice Element Mage, she stated that she had been ordered to serve as his attendant 39.

During the group’s infiltration of demon territory, restrictions barring seventh-tier and stronger experts from caravan travel forced her to enter separately. She later reunited with the injured group; her presence gave them the confidence to recuperate in Heart City, the demon capital. Before their departure, she privately discussed Finality’s intentions with Yae Sakura, admitting that neither of them had the strength to resist her 40.

Confrontation with the Demon God Emperor

Outside the Dream God Temple, the Snow Empress confronted Feng Xiu, the Demon God Emperor, and told him that his stolen Demon God Pillar had been destroyed. She refused his demand to meet Finality, explaining that Finality neither feared the consequences nor intended to see him 42.

Feng Xiu fought her to draw Finality out. Although the Snow Empress was weaker, killing her would not have been easy, and he feared that doing so might prevent any further negotiation with Finality. He ultimately withdrew without killing her. Her ability to confront him alone spread her reputation among both humans and demons 42.

The Snow Empress has an elegant, noble appearance and a soft, clear voice 10 11.

Personality

Pride and confidence define the Snow Empress’s conduct as the Far North’s ruler. Even when confronting Feng Xiu, she maintains an elegant manner while openly mocking him. Finality is the exception: faced with power that leaves no opportunity to struggle, she recognizes the futility of resistance 10 40 42.

She is not uniformly aloof. She teases Ling Mo with a deliberately cryptic answer about his memories, laughs at his difficulties with Fei Yu Maru, and warmly responds to Chen Ying’er’s praise. Her composure contrasts with Ice Empress’s urgency when the latter discovers her aura 11 16 21 39.

Her knowledge of Ling Mo’s previous life underlies her admiration for him and her sympathy for Yae Sakura. That understanding does not make her obedient to every request: after becoming his attendant, she refuses Ling Mo’s suggestion that she stop following him constantly 40 42.
