Background / History
Hundreds of years before the story, Gates descended across Blue Star after the sky cracked open, beginning the Game Era. Blue Star citizens may enter the Game World through these Gates from age sixteen onward. 1
The Game World contains both pre-programmed worlds with fixed NPCs and monsters, and real worlds. Every accessible world is supported by the Game System: participants gain experience, equipment, and other rewards by defeating enemies and completing quests. 1
The system presents itself as a game, but its risks depend heavily on a player's chosen reality setting. At 100% reality, a player's true body enters; death in this state is permanent, and beginner villages reportedly offer no Resurrection Coin option. 1 4
System Mechanics
Entry and reality settings
- First-time entrants select a fixed reality setting from 0% to 100%. 1
- Higher settings reduce the materials required for level breakthroughs. 1
- At less than 100%, entrants use soul projections; at 100%, they enter with their real bodies. 1
- True-body entrants may lack functions normally available to players, including visible Resurrection Coins, until they prove their potential. 4 7
- The Game World evaluates true-body players who leave a Novice Village alone and may invite them into the Seed Plan. 7
Player progression
| System | Function |
|---|---|
| Levels and attributes | Defeating enemies and completing quests grants experience; level-ups and class templates increase attributes. 1 7 |
| Class transfer | Players can select professions such as Warrior, Mage, Cleric, Archer, or Assassin; later class transfers can grant skills and growth templates. 2 7 |
| Breakthroughs | Attributes have racial limits; breakthroughs require materials or can be attempted through Game World trials. 9 54 |
| Resurrection Coins | Provide limited protection from death for ordinary entrants; players can exhaust them and become unwilling to re-enter. 1 4 |
| Certification | Items taken between worlds require paid Game World certification to adapt their rules to other worlds. 20 |
| Permission Level | Increases through major quest completion and unlocks additional information and facilities. 36 149 1060 |
| Personal Guild | Grants functions and advances in rank through system rewards; higher ranks unlock options such as game-mode selection. 36 157 755 |
Currency and resources
- Copper coins are produced only within the Game World and serve as a medium for purchases, item certification, upgrades, and services. 20
- War Merit and Combat Merit are awarded by certain world quests and can be exchanged for power-enhancing resources. 96 705
- Soul Energy is integrated into Chen Yi's system as a plugin and can be used for deduction or skill development. 1024
Facilities and functions
The Seed Plan unlocks basic player functions that include the Game Store, Backpack, Chat, Arena, Enhancement Workshop, and Residence. 7
| Facility / Function | Known use |
|---|---|
| Arena | Supports ranked matchmaking, combat testing, and some ability upgrades. 180 217 |
| Enhancement Workshop | One of the core functions unlocked for Seed Plan participants. 7 |
| Game Store | Provides purchasable goods and becomes more accessible as permission increases. 7 |
| Residence | Private town space used for rest and recovery. 7 36 |
| Time and Space Hut | A training facility with layers that can accelerate time at a resource cost. 1060 |

Worlds and deployments
Novice Villages
Novice Villages are replicated programs rather than fully realized worlds. Novice Village 101101 contains five repeating NPCs—Auntie Wang, Pharmacist Li, Master Zhang, Xiao Hua, and the Village Chief—and serves as an early filter for new players. 2
The Game World allows players to leave rather than forcing deployment, making continued pursuit of extraordinary power a personal choice. 4
Game worlds
Game sessions transport players into worlds with assigned missions, recommended levels, and settlement rewards. One example is the Plants vs. Zombies World, where players are tasked with surviving four days and defending Dave's house. 10
Some worlds reset after a session. In the Plants vs. Zombies World, battle damage is erased, new players arrive, and the actual number of prior player entries greatly exceeds the number believed by local characters. 18
Derivative Worlds
Derivative Worlds do not initially belong to the Game World. In these worlds, players may be assigned objectives involving World Source, and mentioning the Game World is prohibited under threat of erasure. 24
Successful pioneering of such a world yields unusually generous rewards, as obtaining World Source can bring the world under the Game World's control. 36
World acquisition and war
- The Game World issues quests to obtain World Hearts or World Sources and seize worlds. 24 158
- It can generate new dungeons after a world’s trajectory changes, such as the Flame and Demon dungeon. 148
- It participates as a major faction in Myriad Worlds conflicts, with much of its strongest force assigned to S-tier war zones. 929
- It may prohibit actions that would compromise a deployment, including planet destruction. 552 705
- It can approve high-permission requests while charging World Source as debt. 852
- The Game World’s method of accumulating Existence Force includes creating sandbox worlds. 1497
Seed Plan
The Seed Plan is available to players who enter with their real bodies and leave the Novice Village without joining a team. 7
Successful participants receive a Soul Imprint, evaluation, class transfer, random skill selection, permission upgrades, a Resurrection Coin, and access to otherwise unavailable functions. 7
Seed Plan information is classified: disclosure is prohibited, with violations subject to enforcement measures. 7
Later Seed Plan developments can alter a participant’s assigned world and issue specialized high-risk quests. 129
Restrictions and enforcement
- Real-body entry at 100% reality carries permanent death risk. 1
- Certain worlds prohibit mentioning the Game World and threaten violators with erasure. 24
- Main cities prohibit aggressive actions; the system issues warnings when this rule is violated. 150
- Player bodies are modified by the Game World and bear its mark, making betrayal difficult, though not impossible with sufficient outside value. 779
- The system is not described as a caretaker; it may assist powerful players, but only under conditions such as Seed status, sufficient permission, and acceptance of debt. 852
Notable interactions
- Chen Yi — Entered with 100% reality, completed the Seed Plan, and repeatedly receives quests, permissions, trials, settlements, and restrictions from the Game World. 2 7 54 755
- Blue Star players — Gain access through Gates at age sixteen; their starting knowledge, equipment, wealth, and willingness to risk death create immediate disparities. 1
- Dungeon World adventurers — Are themselves “players” in a separate virtual-reality game system, possessing resurrection and unusual behavior. 707 710
- Technology Side — Hosts competitions and programs in which the Game World deploys players, sometimes to exploit available rewards and opportunities. 607 628
