Background / History

Chuka originally existed as the mental body known as Rowen Yi, residing within the magic book Demon’s Whisper. When Chen Yi explained the existence of worlds beyond her original one, she revealed her true form: a pure-white cat capable of speaking in a little girl’s voice. She accepted his offer to become a follower after determining that he was not lying. 385

Because Chuka was a soul entity rather than a living being, Chen Yi used a gold-quality Servant’s Book to contract her. The Game World’s endorsement altered her soul and established her as his follower. After being released from Demon’s Whisper, Chuka eagerly expressed a desire to see the outside world, other worlds, and the emotions of their inhabitants. 385 386

Chen Yi frequently employed Chuka’s ability to enter spiritual spaces. During his dealings with Noxus, her clones hid within letter paper and entered the spiritual spaces of warriors who touched it. She later infiltrated nobles’ minds, taught them magic, and consumed the negative emotions they produced. 386 388

As part of Chen Yi’s core group alongside the Fire Dragon, Chuka developed from an infiltrator and spatial-support fighter into a dedicated healer and buffer. Her connection with the stars enabled her to alter Cleric-style skills so that they borrowed power from stars rather than deities. 683 689

Chuka pursued Rank 7 by proposing that she borrow power from the stars under a contract. Although Chen Yi initially reprimanded her, the stars accepted the arrangement. He later sealed her memories and power and sent her through an accelerated 10,000-year experience as a cat-shaped stone statue to seek an understanding of freedom. Chuka is intensely curious about unfamiliar worlds, people, and emotions. Immediately after leaving Demon’s Whisper, she became talkative and excited by the prospect of exploring, only to deliberately resume a tsundere demeanor once she realized how openly enthusiastic she had been. 386

She is proud, theatrical, and easily embarrassed. Chuka habitually boasts about her strength, calls herself “this young lady,” and reacts badly when her laziness or the name of her self-created skill, Invincible Meow Body, is exposed. 587 1062
