Background

Before transmigrating, Zhang Miao made his living as a woodcarver. He adapted his work to demand, moving from Buddhist statues to children’s toys and then Naruto-themed figurines; his business was becoming successful when he suddenly transmigrated. 67

After arriving in the ninja world, he received the Recruitment System, which allows him to collect Ninja Fragments, summon counterparts with the originals’ memories and abilities, and command their absolute loyalty. His first overriding goal was to recruit Grandma Chiyo and use a summoned version of her to revive Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki through Living Corpse Reincarnation. 7

He regularly uses charm, staged misunderstandings, and elaborate deception to obtain Ninja Fragments, influence clans, or improve his public position. 66 141 166 He is especially vain about his appearance and openly embraces the identity of Hades as “such a handsome young man.” 557

Despite this, he is deeply reciprocal toward people who treat him well. He refuses to abandon Owl after Owl cared for him and Naruto, resolves to change Mikoto Uchiha’s tragic fate because of her kindness, and later treats recruited ninjas as real people rather than expendable tools. 29 83 78
