Background
Tang San is a transmigrator whose soul arrived in Douluo Dalu after his death in his original world. Before transmigrating, he had been an outer-sect disciple of the Tang Sect, secretly cultivated the Mystic Heaven Skill, mastered the Mystic Jade Hand and Great Accomplishment Purple Demon Eyes, and created the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus. He jumped from a cliff after learning the sect’s forbidden knowledge. 186 187
As a child in Holy Soul Village, Tang San trained at dawn, cooked for his household, and lived with the blacksmith Tang Hao. He felt a peculiar intimacy with Xiao Han even before accepting him as his master. 186 189
Xiao Han identified him as a Tang Sect disciple by recounting his past and persuaded Tang San to formally become his disciple. Tang San remained loyal to Xiao Han when Yu Xiaogang later offered to teach him. 186 187 198
Tang San was initially understood to be Tang Hao and A Yin’s son. After A Yin was revived, she revealed that Xiao Han was Tang San’s actual father. 54 480

Personality

He is curious, diligent, and highly receptive to cultivation knowledge. He readily asks questions about Martial Souls, mutated Martial Souls, and hidden weapons, while maintaining respect toward elders such as Yu Xiaogang and Ma Xiuno. 189 201 223
In conflict, Tang San often favors restraint and diplomacy over Xiao Han’s direct force. He defused the confrontation with Su Yuntao by proposing that the advancement assessment be conducted first. 223
He also shows compassion toward others; after Ma Hongjun’s behavior toward Xiao Wu, Tang San requested to share a dormitory with him rather than reject him. 346
