Defeat at Asura Hall

Liu Qiushui personally confronts Li Xuanxiao at Asura Hall, attacking him with fire dragons before Daoist Master Lingxu leads Shushan disciples into the hall. 51 Shushan’s subsequent raid devastates Asura Hall’s sacred hall, leaving her heavily wounded and forcing her to flee while the sect begins purging branch halls. 52

Great Xia Dragon Vein Campaign

She forms a temporary alliance with Great Xia’s Old Emperor to seize the dynasty’s Dragon Vein, agreeing to divide its benefits. 120 With Asura Hall’s support, she disables the Great Xia capital’s city-protecting formation and attacks the Dragon Vein, drawing Shushan’s intervention. 122

When Shushan’s Tribulation Crossing elders target her and she realizes the Old Emperor has set her up, Liu Qiushui abandons the operation rather than remain trapped in the ambush. 124

Recovery and Renewed Ambition

Ling Xuanxiao offers Liu Qiushui refuge at Divine Grass Mountain, which she considers a viable base for Asura Hall’s recovery. Although she considers using his apparent affection to gain intelligence from Shushan, she hesitates because of their shared history. 125

Liu Qiushui is calculating and unsentimental in pursuit of Asura Hall’s survival. She deceives Song Qize through his infatuation, treats Shushan contacts as potential intelligence assets, and readily abandons alliances once they become liabilities. 49 125 232

Her ruthlessness is tempered by pragmatism. Faced with Shushan’s overwhelming ambush, she chooses retreat over a doomed fight; after repeated setbacks, she continues trying to rebuild her faction rather than surrender her ambition. 124 200
