Baoyue is a princess of Tianbao Kingdom's royal family, known there as Princess Qingyuan. Her father raised her, supported her cultivation, and sent her to the Wind Thunder Sect; she later returns to Tianbao Kingdom to uphold his lineage's claim in the succession struggle. She has no interest in becoming emperor herself, considering cultivation more important than political office. 173 174

Within the Wind Thunder Sect, Baoyue is an exceptionally low-profile True Inheritance disciple and former Black Robe Nine-Pattern cultivator. Baoyue enters seclusion to form her Nascent Soul, with Ji Qing acting as guardian. True Monarch Tiansheng attacks Tianbao City to obstruct her path, but Ji Qing defeats and drives him away, allowing Baoyue to stabilize her breakthrough after one month. 176 177

Upon emerging as a Nascent Soul True Monarch, Baoyue immediately joins Ji Qing in attacking Tiansheng Kingdom. When Tiansheng is absent, she tears out the royal palace's Spirit Vein and divides more than half of the recovered Spirit Stones with Ji Qing. 177

Immortal Mansion and Central Region Crisis

Baoyue becomes master of the Void Spirit Immortal Mansion and later uses its resources to assist Ji Qing's search for the Five Elements Returning Void Sacred Method. 179 180

In the Central Region, Spirit Transformation Divine Monarchs target Baoyue and the Crab Spirit over the Sky Pillar Cave Heaven. She calls for Ji Qing's aid; he rescues them and kills Divine Monarch Yinghuo. Baoyue reveals that she has acquired the Cave Heaven's key and plans to bring it back to the Wind Thunder Sect through the Immortal Mansion. 190 191

Spirit Transformation and Later Activities

Baoyue enters death seclusion in the Immortal Mansion to advance to Spirit Transformation. Although Ji Qing ultimately saves the Wind Thunder Sect from the three Void Comprehension cultivators, Baoyue later succeeds in her breakthrough and becomes the sect's sole Spirit Transformation Divine Monarch. 206
